    Sir Laser Lot Discussion Thread

Well, I haven't seen the pictures yet, but the name suggests it is either completely perfect for MOTU or completely terrible for MOTU. One thing I love about MOTU is the gimmicky characters and the little bit of goofiness, but "Sir Laser-Lot" is iffy.

What do the rest of you think?

EDIT: Just seen it, not a fan...these guys are terrible at making MOTU characters..fixed the spelling as well.

    Pictures are here! http://www.mattycollector.com/store/...0004f666h999m2

I think he looks REALLY cool. I'm so happy with the look of him. Plus, a knight is cool to have in MOTU. Sure, we have Extendar but he's a bit more stylized. And more than one knight isn't bad.

The name is goofy, yes but I don't mind it.

I like him! He genuinely feels like an old school MOTU character. I like him more than TMS

What a joke! The 30th anniversary figures thus far with the exception of drago-man are a ridiculous.

here's where i'm at with this one ...

i think he totally 'fits' the classic MOTU aesthetic and feel in both his look and appearance ...

i don't like him enough to buy him (because i'm not in this line for 'new' characters) - but, he is certainly a lot better than the mighty spector and draego-man in conveying the original look of the classic MOTU line and he definitely would not have looked out of place on my shelf in the 80's ...

He's kind of lame. I'd rather they just release a Red Knight.

Positive note on this one: his mace could be reused as Slave Master Lodar's mace... that's great news!

    Oh my.

That figure is horrible. Just as uninspired as Spector. Looks like a second-rate superhero from a team of rejects.

It looks like it was made by a kid. It's beyond silly, almost like it's mocking Mattel - and ultimately us.

Of course, we can choose to pass, unless we have the 30th sub, but Mattel have still used resources on this figure.

I'm a bit weirded out. MOTU is far out there, sure, but there's still something charming about the characters. And we already have the mechanical knight in Extandar - which is a terrific character!

I totally think he fits into the MOTUC line. I'll most likely not get him but I do think he works WAY better then Spector. My only issue is there is to much blue, I think a red or silver belt would help break up all the blue.

The colors are AWFUL. That unbroken primary color blue with the Superman boots...ugh. I wonder if you could yank off the ponytail and get a passable 200X Roboto head as one way of salvaging this trash?

I agree, although I think he would be an even better base for my U.K. comic Horde Prime than Spector is...sigh...now I may have to just stick the 30th sub out

Sir Lazer Guy with his homemade crayon shield and Citgo gas station power crystal chest bursts forth at NYTF to steal your money that you plunked down on your 30th anniversary sub.

    MAN

I hope this thing is a joke like the "Zombie" Randor sign from SDCC.......

At a quick glance he actually looks like a blue power rubber ducky!

He totally looks like a Filmation character. If he'd have been in the cartoon people would be clamoring for him.
