Who needs photos if you can get such an awesome video???
Seriously that was splendid! Scott was very likeable in that vid, maybe that can put oil on troubled waters(for me it did).
Please let the Mighty Spector as he is now. I think his Face looks very cool hollow cheeked and shiny!
Besides that we need that Blast-Pack with some Frosta stuff now!

This Scott I like, as opposed to online Scott. In the videos and RGD, he comes off as very personable. Online, he comes off as very snarky and condescending. Maybe he just should read over what he types before he posts. Anyway, I'm actually starting to not dislike TMS and Snake MAA. Maybe when I get them in hand, I may actually like them. I'm excited about the reveals.

Guys, please open your eyes, because you'll now read and witness the impossible : Prahvus actually saying something good about Toyguru !

I won't comment too much on the content of what TG said (there were good things and bad things - bad things like Horde Prime's staff not coming with Horde Prime).

I had a great feeling of fun watching this video ! I think Toyguru was more natural on this video and looked much more confident than before when handling the action figures (taking them apart and changing their heads or accessories), although he still drops them from time to time (but honestly, this happens to any fan collector - even to Pixel Dan himself !).

TG genuinely seemed enthused by the line, and it was great to see him commenting about some of the figures. I really enjoyed the explanation he gave for Snake Man-at-Arms (no, it didn't convince me to buy SMAA, but I enjoyed learning that they had planned to have him building snakemen vehicles, and sell more 200x products based on that planned cartoon episode/story - by the way, a snakemen vehicle would be a cool idea in MOTUC - when vehicles come back in MOTUC, that is).

Finally, I giggled when I saw Toyguru taking the action figures from his pockets ! Yeah, of course, these had to be Lt. Spector and the Mighty Spector, but it came as something so silly and unexpected I just had to smile and laugh.

Now, there's just one more thing I'll be waiting for : Pixel Dan in Mosquitor disguise, and Toyguru dressed as the Mighty Spector at SDCC ! Can you guys imagine that ? That would be so totally unusual and cool for a brand manager !

Oh... also, I wanted to say that as much as I can hate suits and ties, I prefer the suit Toyguru was wearing to the "they're killing the line" T-shirt he wore at SDCC 2011 (a bad omen which frightened me a little).

And... Is it just me, or does Spector's head look different from the one we saw at SDCC 2011 ? It looks less like "Faceless One" to me, and I got the feeling the lips were more visible. I still don't want to buy him, but that detail about TMS caught my attention...

Now obviously, all of this won't distract me from the very serious issues we experience at the moment (QC, DR debacles, bad CS, shipping issues etc.), but it was a nice little fun breathing moment and video.

Oh yeah... before I forget : I have to mention that I'm really happy that Slush Head won't come with bendy tentacles ! Not everyone will agree with me, but given the poor Hssss's arms and Snout Spout's decaying trunk, I think it's a good move that Slushy's tentacles won't come in a bendy material.

Now, let's hope all these figures will come in pristine condition (no QC issues), and that DR's customer service and Matty's website will greatly improve. We sure didn't see a thing about these improvements yet (February's sales were another debacle, from what I read), but I believe such improvements are now demanded if we want this line to keep going strong.

    Cheers, Prahvus.

Why are you confused about the notion of wanting more profit at less cost? Its not a fan favorite notion but in the end its business

was great to see the next mini comic.. but i still wanna know (and i assume this is a yes) the 80's part 2 n 3 of the POG mini's were written then.. since scott mentioned they were off or somewhat of the classic mini's.. now i want to see the 80's mini's, well once these new ones are released. they artwork i'm sure is great.

If I remember correctly, Parts 2 & 3 from the '80s were never finished/illustrated. All that exists is a simple plot outline of what those minicomics would have been & that's what's being used as the "jumping off" point for these new minis.

hmm, thats what i dont get, feb 1987 toy fair was promoting the pog line, but pts 2 n 3 not illustrated yet? toy companies have stuff done in advance for the coming yr.

the card backs of eldor n he-ro exist (which were said to never exist or made, then pow, there we have eldor), the only cardbacks to be seen or heard of is the gigantisaur and the star sisters which i also know are out there with someone who does not even remember.

question, did scott answer this question somewhere else? i know its been said yrs back that they weren't written, but that wasn't totally accurate

The awkwardness during the Specter portion of the video was tangible.

Did anyone else notice that Kobra Khan has the concealed ankle pins just like Vikor, Demo-Man, and Fisto? I love the little things like that and hope to see it continue with all future figures.

And I love how Scott did everything he could to deny the 200X influence in the alternate head sculpt for Stinkor. He said that it was what the figure would have looked like in the vintage line if he didn't have to share a head with Mer-Man. What a bunch of bologney! Someone at Mattel really doesn't like 200X, but I wouldn't think it's Scott.

Thanks for the video Dan. Man that MAA arm canon looks so much bigger and better then in the pics.
Shame we're not getting HP staff now, hope we get it with someone else.

So are you rising to the challenge of the Mosquitor costume at SDCC? I wanna see Eamon go as the ginger Grizzlor that was talked about on RGD way back

Yeah, I guess I don't have a choice. I have to find some way to do a Mosquitor costume for that panel. Because if Scott shows up in a Spector costume and I'm not dressed up, I'll never hear the end of it.

Just wanted to say that was a very fun vid. Great back & forth between Dan & scott. And yes, see Scott & his enthusiasm always makes me feel more forgiving.

Another good video, despite the feedback. But good none the less! Ok, not thrilled about what they did to Slush Head! He didn't need the water gimmick! And Now kind of wanting The Snake Men 2 Pack! And now need to find a way to get Toyguru in purple spandex out of my head!

Hate to say it, but I have NO faith in TG's ability to correct customer service. It has been over three years. Just today, my 30th figure shipped Newgistics when I ordered UPS. It just goes on and on and on . . .

Maybe you can find a bloody chest piece with the red liquid in the middle layer (similar to the masks) that you can use.

This was a GREAT video. Changed a lot of how I've been feeling about the line lately.

Then you must be happy that he will NOT be in charge of the customer service, but there will be a person JUST for that. I think Scott is overwhelmed with too much to handle and this new person along with the changes to the site will (hopefully) help.

I JUST finished watching the video (my internet connection has been nightmarish ). Toyguru and Pixel Dan were hilarious together as per usual. A+ job for both.

    - I have to say...I'm really sad about Slush Head. I would rather have NO water capabilities that losing the removable head and ruining the sculpt of the "dome." Also, I'm confused why they couldn't figure out how to have the head still removable. Zordon in Bandai's Mighty Morphin Power Ranger line doesn't leak and it's a "fill it yourself" kind of thing. I think you can remove his head. *shrugs* Never a fan of when "action feature" ruins a sculpt/functionality, which it has here.

    - Keldor Sword and MAA arm canon are AWESOME! So glad they're coming. A+ to Mattel/4H for getting these out there. It's great when stuff like this happens.

    - Question: Are BOTH of Horde Prime's gloves removable? I asked Toyguru about this when he was first shown off in an "Ask Matty" (saying they could also be re-used on a possible Roboto refresh) and he said it was a great idea and would pass it along to design. Haven't heard anything about it since. I'm VERY sad to see his staff go (my favourite accessory of his) and The Mighty Spector's whip go (also my favourite of his accessories). I like how The Mighty Spector's weapons clip on now. I like that more. Anyway, I hope they can find someway to get these missing things out!

    - SMAA correction: MAA was NOT going to be a snakeman forever. Ian Richter did say that INITIALLY, then fans were very unhappy and he cleared it up that he would only be a snakeman for something like 5-8 episodes. So...yeah. I do like SMAA a lot now and I'm VERY thankful the ring is NOT vac metal or die cast. Now it won't flake or rust. These are good things. It's too bad he doesn't have NON-REVERSED Roboto shoulders...that's a bummer...but I guess you can't have it all.

    - Granamyr will use Draego-Man's wings! Interesting!

    - I'm confused about Nathan Bitner not replying to Toyguru's e-mails for a year. Didn't TG tell us that he and Bitner wrote the bio together or that Bitner "approved" it? I swear he said that... Hmmm...

I had almost the same feeling about this but, as is now customary for me, I have decided to take a wait and see approach.

I can't help but feel that if this wasn't an NA figure then there would be fans up in arms and multiple different support/suggestion threads and posts on the subject. My biggest issue is the sculpt and design should never be sacrificed for the action feature and this figure now sets a precedent.
