Not sure man. But a few years ago I left some stain rags on A garbage can at a job in a garage. Well the garbage can was In Front of a window with perfect view of the western sun just baking through the window and came back to the job in the morning and found out there was a fire. . Luckily no damage but a smoldered garbage can was stuck to the floor. But the smell was there and all the walls were black. Anyway we hired a restoration company and they claimed up and down after they left it would smell like cherries. After they left and us epoxying the floor and oil priming all the walls and top coat it still smelt. Months later it still smelt. So not really sure.
Perhaps let em air outside for a few days in a dry shady spot.
