Do the totals for Beastman and Grizzlor include the alternate, goofy cardback images of them from the back of the Mollar/Skeletor box set?

This is true, but Battle Armor He-Man is beating Battle Armor Skeletor 11 to 3. And BA He-Man was out for quite a while before BA Skeletor was, BA He-Man was probably being used for a while in place of regular He-Man while regular Skeletor was the only version available. In fact, if we total up the counts of all of the variants of these characters (including Keldor and Prince Adam, and assuming tht the counts in the original post in this thread are correct as of right now), this is how it works out...

(Regular) He-man -30
BA He-Man - 11
Preternia Disguise He-Man -3
Prince Adam - 3
Thunder Punch He-Man -1
____________________________
Total: 48

(Regular) Skeletor-36
Keldor - 4
Battle Armor Skeletor - 3
____________________________
Total:43

For Skeletor, if you want to count Demo-Man (which IMO is a gray area... I consider Keldor to be the equivelant for Skeletor that Adam is for He-man, but Demo-Man was "merged" with Keldor to create Skeletor.. plus he comes with the Acala Skeletor head), that would add one more appearance for a total of 44.

So, either way, it is pretty close, but with He-Man still coming out ahead.

I'm not counting the likes of Wun-Dar or Faker as He-Man variants because even though they reuse much of the same mold, particularly his head, they are technically different characters.
So, He-Man comes out ahead overall, though it's still pretty close.

Not that I'm complaining because he's one of my favorites in this line, (just picked him up recently at Power-Con) but it's surprising to me how much Scareglow is on the backs of these.

I think these statistics give an indication of the relative connectivity of the figures which have already been released.

Hence, as most characters released so far are from MOTU, He-Man and Skeletor, the leaders of the two opposing MOTU factions are leading.

Of course, if more POP figures are released She-Ra and Hordak should shoot up the results list!

And when we have nearly all of the MOTUC figures released we will have a relative (and unofficial) indication of the importance of individual figures to the MOTUC Universe.
