I wouldn't be surprised if this is happening. Why? Because I'm guessing it would only require a deal with Classic Media, not Mattel.

I was wondering that myself. I wonder at what length Mattel has the right to say "no." and Classic Media can say "Yes" to deals like this? I know Mattel owns He-Man, but with Classic Media owning the Filmation stuff, does that mean Funko can make Pop! Vinyl figures based on the Filmation series?

Either way, I hope these happen!

While they aren't for me, I'd love to have them in retail to get the property more exposure.
Most wanted: Blast attack, Entrapta, Lodar, Peekablue, Flutterina, and Tung Lashor

i have a POP! vinyl batman. i think he's neat. i don't normally buy vinyl figures, but i would buy some MOTU ones if they make some of the monsterous characters.

But I never get much in the way of Bobble Heads or Vinyls. Point in fact I have none, though I do plan to get Funko Joker, and a TWo Face if they have one.
There is a Joker and Two-face as well as Penguin and Riddler. I have 3 of the 4 (missing Joker)

If they are characters that Mattel used before they were ever shown on the Filmation series then it's totally up to Mattel's discretion to stop it I would assume- although we have no idea what exactly the deal was that Mattel made with Classic Media to get the rights other than the financial side there may have been other caveat as part of said deal.

I keep trying to stay away from them, but they're so tempting. If they do MOTUPOP, I won't be able to stop myself...

I think this would be a lot of fun. Never went in much for bobbleheads and the like, but we do have a FunKo Mr. Magoo and a Wacky Wobbler Fruit Brute hangin' out on the toy shelves at my place. If they did He-Man and She-Ra stuff, then I might just have to get those!

These Funko things aren't my cup of tea. I actually really like quite a few different types of designer vinyl toys, and these still aren't for me.
But, any exposure for the brand is probably a good thing.

I hate things like this and mighty muggs etc. I don't see the appeal at all of deformed or cutsey/cartoony versions of characters who are not ment to look like that such as horror character etc. I wouldn't be interested in buying them.

However it is good for advertising the brand and getting MOTU out there again so I have nothing against them being made. Good for people who do like collecting these things.

I wasn't so I went searching for the videos just to see what they are. By the way they're Episodes 40 & 46.

As for Masters versions. I'll pass.

I'd love to get these MOTU Pop figures. I picked up the Capation America figure at my local comic book store around Christmas time. I pretty much support anything MOTU related. Thanks so much for relaying this information Tanya. Loved seeing you at the Power-Con.

Figures.com pretty much confirms it at the end of the page.

Last but not least was Funko's name to fame, the Wacky Wobbler. The company has no intention of stopping this series, in fact two new licenses were announced to receive the Wobbler treatment (and most likely Pop! too): Classic ThunderCats and Masters of the Universe. More details on those two licenses in the near future!

^ Fantastic news. Original Thundercats, too. Great! Good that MOTU is getting more exposure. Good for the brand. I hope Mattel give the mini-masters the green-light, too.

I'm with you; I really hope something comes of the Mini Masters. ToyGuru hinted at some possibility during Toy Fair. Hopefully something will happen.
    Say cheese!!!
