The Funko Masters of the Universe Thread (POP! Vinyl, Wacky Wobblers, etc)

I caught this on the Funko forum, thought I would share here.

Fukno who does the Pop vinyl figures (among other lines) posted this on their facebook:

Today, I just feel like, "I have the POWER"!!!

    http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...74370855965437

Could be just a random posting, but because of Toy Fair...maybe it's tease to He-man and She-ra Pop figures.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility, as the Pop line has Star Wars, DC, Marvel, Disney, Rankin/Bass and many other properties. Might this happen? Would you add these to your collection?

(if you are unfamiliar with Pop figures I did a video review on some on YouTube)

Oh wow! I would LOVE some He-Man related Pop! Vinyl figures! I love that line from Funko! I've bought the Rankin/Bass Snow Meiser and Heat Meiser, the three Cereal Monsters (Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and Frankenberry), and my wife has several of the Disney ones.

It's such a cool line! MOTU Pop! Vinyl figures would rock!

Interesting, though Toyguru said we wouldn't be seeing MOTU in any other lines. But then again, he did play around with the whole Frosta thing.

They are addicting. I'm up to 41 of them! Mostly from the Disney series, but now going back and adding the Superheroes. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a She-ra one. If I knew how I would even make a custom one. LOL

Crappy vinyl fads are over- designer vinyl toys are amazing and help contribute to a very cool community of art and pop culture pieces.

Please let this be a meaningful hint! This could be part of the Classics Media licensing/merchandising for the 30th anniversary... technically they're not action figures, so TG wouldn't have been wrong in his statement. I have a Funko Justice League on my desk at work, as well as the holiday series from a couple of months ago. It would be totally cool if they make larger versions (9"?) for SDCC. My mind is swirling with possibilities... I would be happy with He-Man, Skeletor & She-Ra, but would also love to see Teela, MAA & Beast Man in particular.

I do have to say that it would be interesting if this does come about and they are wildly successful given the reception the similarly styled (but not as cool) "attitubes" received a couple of years ago.

Vinyl He-Man? Sounds like a winner. I'll take him, Skeletor, Teela, Hordak and She-Ra if they make them.

dont know how I feel about this. Anything MOTU I want to support, and would be glad just to see it in stores.

But I never get much in the way of Bobble Heads or Vinyls. Point in fact I have none, though I do plan to get Funko Joker, and a TWo Face if they have one.

There is a Joker and Two-face as well as Penguin and Riddler. I have 3 of the 4 (missing Joker)

I wasn't so I went searching for the videos just to see what they are. By the way they're Episodes 40 & 46.

As for Masters versions. I'll pass.

I'd love to get these MOTU Pop figures. I picked up the Capation America figure at my local comic book store around Christmas time. I pretty much support anything MOTU related. Thanks so much for relaying this information Tanya. Loved seeing you at the Power-Con.

Figures.com pretty much confirms it at the end of the page.

Last but not least was Funko's name to fame, the Wacky Wobbler. The company has no intention of stopping this series, in fact two new licenses were announced to receive the Wobbler treatment (and most likely Pop! too): Classic ThunderCats and Masters of the Universe. More details on those two licenses in the near future!

^ Fantastic news. Original Thundercats, too. Great! Good that MOTU is getting more exposure. Good for the brand. I hope Mattel give the mini-masters the green-light, too.
