This Inspector Gadget doll. I had it as a kid but I played with it so much it was all messed up. They usually go for a lot of $$$ on eBay it seems.

I had an aunt that lived in Japan for a while when I was a kid, and I got some cool robot stuff from her that I wish I still had. It was fun... I had never seen anything quite like it. I don't know what property it part of, if any, but it worked well with TransFormers at the time.

    __________

    EDIT: thought of another one:

This thing was fun as a kid, and as an adult Hulk fan, I gotta wonder how in the world the Hulk would have gotten himself in a position where he was wearing a paratchute He needed one in the last Lou Ferrigno TV movie

    M.A.S.K. - Razorback

Transformers - the Dinobots, Overlord, Metroplex, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Cyclonus, Scourge, the Aerialbots, and the Combaticons.

Rock Lords - most of them

TMNT - A lot, including the Technodrome. However, unlike the other toys I listed, I have no interest in recollecting the Turtles.

When this question was raised I started wondering a similar thing. I know much of it wasn't really that concurrent. But I have a feeling our parents probably at times kept watch on what we played with and when they saw we weren't playing with something would make it disappear while we were away at school or some such. We never realized it because it was the stuff we hadn't really thought about in awhile, yet if we found it we would have gotten nostalgic with it.

I know this happens by hearing some parents talk about doing similar with their kids. The problem is they would first put it into the garage or something, before getting rid of it. Sometimes the kid would find it and say that's where that is. I am fairly certain there were a few times in my childhood when I mentioned something to my parents and a day or so later they mysteriously found said item. I probably should have said something more often. Or they would take something out that wasn't in good shape anymore.

I also used to have an almost complete set of **** Tracy, on guess which figure we were missing.

This is a tough one for me. I actually managed to keep most of my toys. They may be beaten up, half broken, and missing parts, but I still have most of them.

Every now and then at a convention, or sometimes here, I'll see a little small something and be like "OMG I USED TO HAVE THAT", but I don't really miss it.

Here are a few though that does come to mind.

Photon Laser tag. I don't think I had the full set. I know I had two guns and two targets.

    This Ghostbuster pop gun

This little loader thing to pedal around (yes that is me go ahead and laugh)

I used to have this thing where two "remote" control monster trucks, red and yellow, were in an arena. The object was to knock off pieces of your opponents vehicle in a demolition derby. I have looked for a pic but can't find the exact one. It would have been mid to late 80s maybe and looked sort of like the following:

I'm trying to hold back the tears.

    Transformers: Omega Supreme
Robotech: SDF1 and a Skull Leader Veritech
Star Wars: I can go on and on but I miss my AT-ST and Millenium Falcon the most
Lazer Tag: Pistols, helmet and Vest.
M.A.S.K.: SwitchBlade Helicopter and Condor Motorcycle
    Voltron: 5 lion set

Just a few off the top of my head.

I was like you, apparently. But I was an only child and we lived in the middle of nowhere, so I needed something to keep me occupied. Video games had not really been invented yet.

The reason my stuff is no longer with me is, in part, because there was too much of it to bring with us when we moved

i'm jealous. i always wanted one of those when i was a kid. i still want one!

i miss a lot of the toys i used to have. there are a bunch of lego, gi joes, transformers, and motu that are long gone. one of my favorites was my movie star don figure from tmnt. i loved the rubber skin! i had other toys that were completely rubber, like those "decoy" figurines packed in with transformers, or the monster minds that came with wheeled warriors toys, but this wasn't just a static figurine. it was still a fully functional action figure. i didn't have any of the other movie figures, which made movie star don even more cherished.

i've held onto most of the toys i bought after i "grew up", but i don't have all of them any more. one of my favorites was/is transmetal 2 megatron from beast wars. he's a gloriously large figure that looks great in both modes. there's nothing else i can put into words to describe why i like him so much compared to other transformer toys. i gave this one to a friend, so while i do not have it at home, i still know where i can find him.

I miss my MASK toys. I miss my Sky Commandos. I miss my die-cast Voltron that had the Lion heads that were spring loaded and could be fired.

While we're at it, I miss Headmaster Spike from my Fortress Maximus. I'd replace him, but I don't have the heart to drop $150 on something the size of my thumb.
Sadly, you can't divorce emotion from a toyline based on nostalgia.

I used to have some Super Naturals. I didn't really care for them all that much.

Stored somewhere at either my house or my parents is almost every single toy I had when I was a kid. It's great to be able to get them all out again for my own children.

I mainly miss my Kenner Star Wars figures. I almost had all original 12-back, including Jawa with vinyl cape. If I only knew.

I also miss loosing most of my Corgi diecast superhero cars: I used to have Hulk's van, Joker's ambulance, Batcopter & Batmobile, Captain America's rocket car & regular TC car, Cap Marvel car, Snoopy's jeep and larger scale Spider boogie with Spider-boat trailer.
I still have Spidey bike, but I've lost Spidey.

Most of my Mego are lost as well: 6" Superman, Batman, Shazam & Hulk. I've lost my 12" Hulk but I still keep my 12" Spidey (who's naked since it suit got torn apart). I used to have mini 4" Mego of Spidey. Batman & Robin.

Then, there were some hard plastic figures made in Argentina of Zorro, Lone Ranger & Tonto and Granaderos soldiers, each of them with their horses that were quite fun.

I was a big fan of Hulk because of Bill Bixby's show, and I used to have that figure also and a Hulk coin bank that every time that you deposited a coin, Hulk would have smashed a hammer that had attached.
