Possibility of a major character as the sub exclusive?

Subscribing anyways. Don't care who the sub exclusive is this deep into the game.

I feel for those that don't want to subscribe and have to buy everything, but at this point I want everything so bring it on. Don't care if it's a Filmation character, a vintage MOTU or POP character. Bring it on!

No no...don't get the wrong idea here. Nothing was said abotu the release of those characters specifically. It was only confirmed that a major character won't be used as the exclusive.

The only question is what TG considers a "major character" to be- let's say hypothetically they picked Shokoti, many people would consider her a "major character" and some would consider her Filmation cheap sauce so it's really subjective.

That's good news! I didn't appreciate what they did with Shadow Weaver because they went back on their word. It's like the suits smelled blood in the water(Filmation Loyalist) and went into a feeding frenzy. "We need more subscriptions! Force it down their throats! Filmation or bust!"

I guess making Shadow Weaver the sub exclusive did indeed back fire on them. I'm pleased Ram Man fans won't have to pay stupid prices for him and Scorpia and Madame Razz are also safe too!

Sorry to be lame, but an apostrophe for omission goes where the omission is, so Toyguru becomes 'guru like 1969 becomes '69 or government becomes gov't.

Well I have to say, regardless of who or what it is... I'm all IN!!! Have been and probably will stay 'til the end!
One reason why is because you can only imagine the feeling of once being an owner of the the complete collection (Minus Tytus, Megator and the Lazer Lights)... but I had it ALL!!! And as I hang my head shamefully (for letting it go); being able to get something back like the MOTU Classics slowly mends the wound...

No I actually call him random names if you look at my posts I call him: Scott, Night-Lick, TG, Guru', Neitlich, Toyguru etc. but you're right it would be before the shortened word as opposed to after. Yeah I'm not 'Guru so I don't mix up then, than, there, they're, their, loose, lose etc.

The sad part is, I feel the same, which is why I subscribed from the first time it was offered. I'm exactly the kind of fan the sub was aimed at; I'd likely buy figures of Cringer's Fleas if the Horsemen sculpted them. But for me, it doesn't matter who the sub exclusive is, I won't buy the sub simply because I will not deal with Matty and DR again. I love the product, even with the QC problems, but I can't spend any more of my life on the phone or e-mail-arguing with these people and getting nowhere. I've seen a lot of folks expressing similar feelings, which is why I truly believe the sub fiugre is going to wind up being something they figure folks can't live without.

That was something I heard as well here on the Org. I'd love it to be true - Lodar, Geldor and Goat Man are three "never been made" figures I always wanted as a kid.

I wouldn't be shocked if the sub exclusive was a core character. Everything we've heard from TG has been that the number of subs is the driving force behind the continuation of the line, so it wouldn't really be a big surprise for them to use a major character to help sell subs. Plus, the backlash of Ram-Man/Jitsu/Mekanek being the exclusive certainly couldn't be worse than when SW was announced.

I'm very glad to read your spoiler, Dan, don't feel bad about that! I think it's better they not make important characters exclusive simply for the fact that it limits the availability of highly wanted figures. I guarantee I'd have bought more individual Shadow Weavers than I would subscriptions. I get the plan, and I hope it works out for us all--but I've gotta say that a variant of Shadow Weaver with more Filmation-accurate colors would be one damn popular release.

As for 2013, at this point bring it on. I know I want to buy two subs. I hope it's cool.

Now that you say that, I seem to remember hearing that, too But Lodar was a strong rumor at the time. He's bound to show up sooner than later. Didn't someone say another mini-comic figure was on the horizon? Or am I making that up? Or is that just TOD Sorceress?
