Nope, I prefer the current approach.
Would you guys like it if Toyguru had introduced a "Turtles Forever-like" multiverse in MOTU and told stories from those universes, instead of trying to combine all of the various stories into one canon? We would have the Prince Adam He-Man having extra-dimensional adventures where he teams up with the Alcala/Texiera version or Adam going to the Filmation or 200X dimensions. Pre-Filmation Teela would come from the Alcala/Texiera dimension while Snake Man-At-Arms hails from the Hyper Anime Dimension.
Or do you like the present way of doing things?
Nope, I prefer the current approach.
If he had introduced a "Mulitverse", my bet is that he'd have followed it up with an Infinite Crisis style event, so we'd just have ended up with the mess that we already have.

Honestly, that's what I was hoping for with NA.
Once we got King Grayskull and the He-men of the pasts.... I started to get a bit excited for a crossover with the He-man of the Past, Present, and future teaming up...
No thanks, I prefer the current approach of merging all the past continuities into one new one.
That is how my canon works and is one of the key secrets of Castle Greyskull. The whole purpose of the Cosmic Enforcers is to keep each of the multiverses in check, and the reason the Power Sword is so powerful is that it exists in different forms in multiple universes at the same time.
In my MOTUC world, a sick and dying 200X Skeletor kills Zodac and tricks Orko to use the Emperian Blade to try and retrieve He-Man from Preternia (the cosmic key was fried) but instead it opens a rift into the MOTUC universe. Duncan (post Snakeman) tries to stop them and all three are swept through the portal. A new Cosmic Enforcer named Zodak is sent to restore the power balance and merges the Emperian Blade with the Power sword in order to close the portal.
Max, is this your sneaky attempt to back door more 200X into the line?![]()
For me, that would make it more Masters of the Multiverse.
The power of Grayskull compels you!
My daughter's Hebrew name is Shira.
It's not just possible, it's probable. Remember, there are billions and billions of alternate realities.

They could have "Alternate" Worlds/Universe's like:
Fuerza T
Anti-Eternia (And Anti-Etheria if possible)
Future World (Past New Adventures)
I'm ok with the current approach, because I actually have a multiverse in my canon. All that came before has happened, as is Classics, and every variation we know in our hearts. Since the Sorceress has nothing else to do all day, she looks in the magic mirrors, watching the lives play out of their counterparts from parallel universes.
I bought TWO 2013 Subscription as support, because of the promise that showing support will ensure 2014 will include ALL the major POP and NA characters.
I too support a multiverse approach, but given that I'm a huge Transformers fan and that's the way they do it, it pretty much comes natural. I even differentiate between the minicomics series as different universes. Series 1, Series 2, DC Comics, Series 3 and beyond with FILMation, etc.
Heck, the DC Comics Skeletor was established as a multiversal level threat:

If there ever is a special, I just hope they don't treat the Filmation characters as a joke like what happened with the '87 Turtles in Turtles Forever. This is coming from a Turtle fan who grew up with the classic toon and grew to liking the 2003 series. I am the same way as far as Filmation and MYP go.
Cool checklist:

HA! You know what... I think the reason we can blame all the continuity issues is because The Mighty Spector is as a 'fan boy' jumping all over the place trying to rewrite time as he goes along. I think it would be like a catch the Spector storyline where they have to stop him from screwing up the time stream!
There needs to be a universe where He-Man's power comes from a board with a nail in it.

I love the concept of alternate realities for this property. That would explain why some Eternias have daily blood baths with body parts being chopped off and snake creatures eating humans alive, while others are much lighter hearted with non-lethal battles. Hate PRINCE ADAM? Fine! On Eternia 238, he doesn't exist! Want to see MAN-AT-ARMS split BEAST MAN'S skull open with an axe? Head on over to Eternia 16-B! It just makes sense.
This way, you just pick what you like, and accept that as your own personal canon.
Prefers ZODAC with human feet!
That's the way I look at it now. MOTUC is just another universe, separate from the Filmation stories, the MYP stuff, the minicomics, etc.
Much more enjoyable that way, and so many more possibilities!
I would argue that is already "implied" in as much as each continuity to a real nerd is an "alternate dimension" of whatever you consider the "real" one.
But specifically? No, not interested.
No, no multiverse in the MOTUC canon. Inconsistencies and differences between the various storylines can all be explained now thanks to the advent of The Mighty Spector. He keeps jumping back in time and altering events so that we have an ever-changing present reality.![]()
