Similarly, Mighty Spector was designed for a kid's toyline. That Scott was a kid himself when he designed him gives him even more leeway.
I don't care for the design but the real irritation is the character's ever growing prominence in MOTU. Thats the reason I rank Spector as worse than Gepple and company.

Yeah. When Skeletor is more afraid of Spector than He-Man and Spector is snatching ancient characters to be the new MAA, then that's a Mary Sue. I'd take the Scientists over Spector any day.

Sir Laser-Lot is even worse as Geoff Johns has written some great comics and designed or re-designed some great characters. So why he would stick to that poor effort I have no idea.

I think Laser-Lot isn't bad. His association with Spector hurts him.

I hate the whole idea behind Spector....first he's a nobody Palace Guard, then suddenly he finds a suit, and he's The Greatest _^American Eternian Hero....

The time travel thing in MOTU was alright, only when it was a necessity, but to do it, just to do it, is stupid, because now you're pulling guys from the ancient past to introduce them to technology light years beyond their understanding, and they're supposed to just fit right in..OK,

let's go back in time and find the creators of the Nintendo just as they were in the 70's early 80's, bring them to 2012, and tell them I want a DS....they'd look at you like you were stupid, they wouldn't have the faintest idea what to do with today's tech, without many hours or months to try to learn it all instead of the 30 years they would have had to develop an understanding for it, let alone SLL being hunderds of years behind the times.

To me the SLL is lame looking, and him and Spector do not fit MOTUC. But the story behind both of them are more lame than the characters....if they had different roles, I might find them more likeable, but Spector is not Mighty, and if I had the figure he'd be a doorstop. Skeletor would not fear him even in the least, a lame guy Quantum leaping around wearing a deck of cards.

If Spector was not a time traveler, and being called Mighty, and not looking like an X-Men knock off....he may have had a chance. But in all honesty, if he wasn't Scott's guy, would he be "Mighty", or would he be another just another SMAA? To me the amount of use he is getting for being a total nobody is annoying, and in all fairness, so is SLL.

Apart from Draego-Man (and maybe CastleGrayskull Man and Photog), the 30th Anniversary mini-sub has seen some of the worst looking characters in MOTU history IMHO. I don't like Cy-chop and Sir Laser Lot at all. They seem so boring to me...
As for Spector, I don't believe that he is the worst character of the line, but I don't feel that he was really an interesting one either. Plus I don't like the idea of a time traveling character who is able to fix the past or the future to explain the writers' plot holes!
I so wish we'd gotten a Filmation subline instead for the 30th Anniversary.

No more time travels nor new characters for MOTUC please. Give us Scorpia, Glimmer, Lizard Man, the Rock People, Hydron and Flogg please!
