No, better Grayskull alone than nothing at all. I'd even settle for a facade with no playset in back, truthfully.
There is a lot of talk about Castle Grayskull, and rightly so, for MOTUC. Mostly, however, I don't think I want a Grayskull unless we at least get a Snake Mountain as well. In an ideal world, I also want a Fright Zone, Eternia, Crystal Castle, and Eternos Palace.
Does anyone else feel the same way, I mean, would you rather have no Grayskull than to have Grayskull alone without any other playsets?

I honestly have no desire for all the playsets. As much as I want a detailed full on Grayskull I really dont even need it to be a playset. I would be fine if it was a detailed and to scale front 2/3 facade to put agaist the wall.
Even as cool as Snake mountain would be, which I would like to have, I could even do w/o that. Just giving me an official Grayskull alone would make me VERY happy.
However if it was made into a playset I would want the Talon Fighter and Point Dread so it could set on the castle tower.
Again though, Grayskull alone would be just fine with me.
I'll take whatever we can get.
I'll take what we can get, and IMO if we only get one, Grayskull is the most important and most iconic. If that's all we get, I would be fine with that.
While I wouldn't mind getting as many sets as possible from one point of view, from another view point they would take up a lot of space (of which I don't have much to spare) and the total cost is a concern to me.

Castle Grayskull is the must. We must have that one. Any others are "just gravy."
My seller/trader/buyer feedback:
http://he-man.org/forums/boards/showthread.php?t=195461
MOTUC Most Wanted: Skeletor's Robot Knights, Two-Bad, Horde Troopers, Modulok, Sssqueeze, Tung Lashor, Stridor, Night Stalker, the Battle Ram, and a true, alternate head for Wun-Dar (since he's a "different" character)!
To make my personal collection complete I'd have to have a Grayskull facade to add to my display. That is the only "playset" I need, but I'll take any I can get.
Hide & Seek Hordak does nothing to make collecting fun.
I'd be happy to get what we can get. Imho, Mattel is already making a $150 USD crystal castle.....

I tempted to get it to display PoP figures.
So I hope any Castle Greyskull we get is along the same size and price point as that.![]()
Ask not for whom MOTUC is made, it's made for thee.
If there is a Grayskull slated for release, it would really only serve as a centre piece for my display. Its functionality as a playset would be lost on me. And I wouldn't need a snake mountain or all the other sets to display...they never really played a major role for me as a child....in fact, the Slime pit saw far more action than snake mountain did in my house.
I agree. Castle Grayskull is the big thing that everyone is fighting over. It has to be included in the line. CG is damn near just as much as a character as He-Man and Skeletor are.
Snake Mountain, Fright Zone, Crystal Castle, Eternia Towers, even that Treehouse thingee are all good bonuses.
I think Starship Eternia is a special case, since it's both vehicle and playset. That's pretty much the Millennium Falcon of NA (if not MOTU, since there's nothing like it in any other era). If playsets did well, I would hope that one day we could get the Eternia eventually made in the line.
No. Castle Grayskull is fundamental to the story of Masters of the Universe. It's basically like a main character. I could live with it being the only playset produced.
Castle Grayskull is essential, It's a must!
It's the center of the story, where the power comes from.
MOTUC Adam: By the power of Grayskull...
MOTUC Tytus: Sorry Adam, the Castle hasn't been build yet.
MOTUC Adam: I have no Power!
Mattel, give us Castle Grayskull or all of MOTUC will be doomed
MOTUC Skeletor: Eternia will be mine!![]()
MY MOTUC WANTS: SKY SLED, Rio Blast, Extendar, Gwildor, Eldor, Glimmer, Kowl, Angella, Mermista, Sweet Bee, Peekablue, Sea Hawk, Madame Razz, Huntara, Hydron, Master Sebrian, Sagitar, Tuskador, Darius, Mara, Two Bad, Saurod, Hunga the Harpy, Evil Seed, Masque, Horde Trooper, Modulok, Dragstor, Imp, Scorpia, Vultak, Entrapta, Tung Lashor, Sssqueeeze, NA Skeletor, Flogg, Lizorr, Hoove, Critta
Honestly... I never really LIKED Snake Mountain.
It looked NOTHING like the cartoon.. it only had the ONE floor... half of THAT was 'pit trap'.... soooo there wasn't a lot of play purpose to it...
The outside was cool... but the bridge was never a good scale, and the railings and chains broke too easily.
My sister had Crystal castle, but I would never by new one... I never had fright zone (honestly, THAT looked lamer then snake mountain so I didn't fight too hard for that.
Castle grayskull however is what got me into MOTU. Seeing that original box art started it all... So YEAH, I want a new grayskull!!
The three towers would be nice.... Never had them too... but since they took so much focus off Grayskull back in the day... I never really liked THAT much either![]()
Better a Castle Grayskull alone...
Last important characters: Two Bad, Tung Lashor, Squeeze, Modulok, Horde Trooper
I'll admit I'm torn.
Pie in the sky is I want a playset.
But reality is, I'd take a facade.
I still hold to the idea that they would release a playset in pieces somehow.
They've essentially started with the Weapon's Rack.
Joe Amaro has shown how cool the suit of armor and computer console could be.
I think if they roll out what they plan to do with a castle in parts, that they'd find many fans on board and willing to sign up. It just means building it all at once and showing us. (Which understandably is a TON of upfront costs.) I like to think it could be done though.
Just start with the front piece of the old castle. Then if that comes together well and is a success, do the other side.

Cool checklist:
http://pages.suddenlink.net/soundwav...checklist.html
I love playsets, and I'd be really happy to get new versions of all of the awesome originals (especially Nordor!) But, I'll be perfectly happy with getting only Castle Grayskull. It's the iconic piece for MOTU, and in a line where the odds of getting something that big and expensive appear slim to none, if we get Grayskull I'll be perfectly fine with it being the only playset in this new line.

No other action figure playset or location is as intrinsic to their property as Castle Greyskull. I'm fine with just that.
Sadly, you can't divorce emotion from a toyline based on nostalgia.
Got Man-E-Faces, give 'em Whiplash when I Battle-Cats
I'm in agreement with the folks who have been in favor of receiving Castle Grayskull in whichever form we are able. I love Snake Mountain, but Castle Grayskull just seems to be so much more iconic and in many ways synonymous with MOTU and He-Man. It's an iconic part of the original line and one of the most recognizable playsets ever. It is a major plot point in nearly every MOTU incarnation and in many ways helps to drive much of the conflict. It does seem to almost function as a character.
On a side note, what would be really cool would be a series of Castle Grayskulls sculpted and released by a company like Sideshow. Much like DC Direct's excellent Batman Black & White line, each release could be a different incarnation of the castle. Those I would snag in a heartbeat!

I bet it would sell so much it would become a year round essential.
When it comes to She-ra Princess of Power characters, FILMATION is the way to go!.
Nah, I'd be thrilled if Grayskull was the only playset we ever see. Anything else would be whipped cream and cherries.
Truth.
I'm amazed at how many 'Bat Caves' have been made... when in reality it has such lousy 'Play potential'
In MOTU, it's always about Getting in the castle... Getting TO the castle... Ruling from the castle and Kicking the bad guys OUT of the castle...
Considering how FEW badguys have ever SEEN the bat cave, I'm amazed at how prevelant it is...
Yeah, it's gotta be Castle Grayskull. I'm sure 99% of the fans would appreciate just a Grayskull playset even if no other playset is made.
Sorry, but I don't think anyone else has the "all-or-nothing" playset view that you have.
