What’s good fellow fans? I am very happy to be here. I have been a He-Man and The Master of the Universe fan since I was little-guy running around with the action figure, but I have never loved the story as much as I do now. When I was younger I thought MOTU was the greatest because He-Man was boss, Skeletor was evil personified, and best of all, part of my last name was in the title—my last name being McMasters. That fact was just an amazing coincidence, but at the time I thought the show was made just for me.

Years later, after the show was long off the air and my mom gave away all my He-Man action figures, I was working at toys R Us in Ohio and in the action figure isle I found a commemorative box set of He-Man action figures that Mattel had released to celebrate the lines 20 year anniversary. When I picked that box and looked inside all the fond memories and the love I had for the series came rushing back. I remembered all the times my mom would take me out shopping at Hills or Lazarus and I would be accompanied by my Prince Adam or Stinkor action figure. I remembered how those figures felt in my hand and I wished that somehow someway those figures would come back, and then it happened; Mattel released the 200X line. When I first saw the 200X line previewed in Toyfare magazine I was ecstatic, and I couldn’t wait to watch the new series that went along with them. Alas, it was a time before I had DVR for my cable, and ironically, I worked at Toys R Us when the new series was airing. My love for the Masters was shelved yet again, at least for the moment.

Then even more years later, I joined the US Navy and it (or fate?) brought me out to California and I discovered Comic-con and the Masters of the Universe Classics. Along with that, Netflix had the old series I loved on instant streaming. My adoration for the series was reinstated. Now, after a Power-con visit and the discovery of this fantastic website, my passion for this story has never been greater. In my opinion, Masters is the great story that bridges the gap for people who love the science fiction of Star Wars and the fantasy of Lord of the Rings, and I think it’s barely tapped its full potential! I look forward to reading the idealist's takes on the tale and seeing the visionary’s art that represents it. Thank you for having me.
