Attention Toyguru: International Customers Not Yet Received Their Orders

Scott, I would appreciate it if you could please address this issue with a considered response.

Many International customers have still not received their Wind Raider shipment, myself included. What exactly is taking this item so long to arrive? For example mine was shipped January 20th, and I have seen no sign of it, but my Star Sisters order was shipped January 25th and in contrast it arrived weeks ago.

This is extremely frustrating, and truth be told it is actually totally unacceptable. I ask that you look into the way in which Wind Raiders were shipped Internationally and provide some feedback on the current situation.

I've gotta make a "correction" here....... many International customers have still NOT received their Jan (Star Sisters) & Feb (Sorceress, Fisto & Shadow Weaver) SUBS shipments yet ! And... we are in MARCH !!!

I'm waiting for Feb shipments, too. But I think this may be a toll/duty problem. For my first order (He-Man & Beast Man) I waitet 3 month. I thought they were lost, but suddenly ... sometimes items lie there for a looooong time and I do not know why. A precise tracking would help.

Yep, no Wind Raiders at all here, and I know many others Italian Fans are in the same situations.
All the other items are taking longer too, but they are arriving, but not the Wind Raiders.
Since this is wide spread in other countries, I have an hard time blaming Italian custom (which is usually to blame), so I'd like to know too what's going on.
Especially in the event some of those may be defective and we're so far away from the purchase date, and we may be refused a replacement or a refund.

I got my Wind Raider here in SA but I know of two other people here who have not got their Wind Raiders or Demon Man and BG Lyn.

I posted in the other thread (Who has made orders with Matty and never actually received them?) but I want to add here that the last time I received a delayed shipment it was because it was shipped to Norway and then I was like "hey *** I am in America too" (South but still America) why they will have to ship my box to Europe and then back to Argentina?? That makes no sense to me. May be its logistics we have to blame

At the moment only some of my items semm to arrive.
My November Snout Spouts and Swift Winds never arrived. A replacement was sent on January 31st, but still has not arrived.
The Star Sisater and Wind Raider arrived many weeks ago.
Photog arrived last week but Shadow Weaver/Fisto/Sorceress still haven't arrived.

It seems that small packages with few items arrive rather quickly, whereas large boxes with many items somehow get lost in the mail or are stuck somewhere.

Moreover, there semm to have been some changes in the method these items are sent to overseas customers, because they take more time to arrive and this year I had to collect every single package from the customs office, whereas in the past they were always delivered to my door whe I paid the customs duty to the postman.

This really sucks. Half the stuff I paid for never arrived and the replacements don't arrive, either.

I've called the escallation dept and I get replacement figures for bge, vigo, demoman, ss BUT NOT for WRs because they are sold out.

I orderd a WR from BBTS yesterday and hope this arrives soon.

I'm sure it's a combination of things. Correct me if I'm wrong, but these are sent to you guys using the cheapest shipping possible right?

I'll agree that some of this stuff does seem super long, but unless some of you are willing to pay in up-wards of $40 a figure in shipping costs via some thing like Priority Mail there's a limit to how fast this stuff is going to come.

First Class or however DR is sending this stuff is SLOW as snails. It's not all DR's fault, but the shipping methods used combined with being held up in customs and so on.

You get what you pay for so to speak.

While it's very true that DR's shipping is slow as snails, it should not be as slow as it has been for those waiting for December orders. I'm in Canada and even though my December order was delayed like everyone else, I received my Demo-Man and BGEL in a timely fashion once they shipped. I also have received everything since, including my February sub and day-of Photog.

The catch? I did NOT order a Wind Raider back in December. Could that have something to do with the huge wait? Dunno...but TG or someone should chime in about it.

In regard to shipping you might actually be. I've seen people post that DR charges a fantastic International shipping rate. "If" that's the case I'm betting that it's coming at the expense of the actual shipping time *not handling time* being slow as molasses.

It's just the way things work. Who knows what kind of deal they have worked out over there. As we all know, if you want any thing within a reasonable amount of time shipped Internationally you're going to pay through the nose for it end of story.

I've seen packages take up to a month WITH Priority some times when factoring in time held up in customs etc. and that's Priority which is one of the best over-all services out there.

It just depends on a bunch of stuff. It just looks like you guys are getting a good rate via the wallet, but paying for it in time waiting. Unfortunately that's just generally how it works.

You're also IN Canada. Big difference from Australia and also considering the type of the shipping service that they're using. I'm in Canada and I don't have my WR/BGEL/DM order yet. I have gotten my January non-sub order which was shipped after the December order, but no December order yet.

Even with "slow as snails" shipping, you can't tell me it takes 3 months to get to Canada from the US.

I hear what you're saying, but...no. It is not normal for shipping to have taken as long as it has in this particular case. If it was normal for us international customers, this thread wouldn't exist.
