12" mermista

this is my latest 12" mermista custom doll.

she was created using a barbie doll whos hair has been completely rerooted.
her bodice, neclace & armbands are sculpted from a product called makins' clay, ehich dries like plastic.
her mermaid tail is completely hand stitched. the fabric used for the tail section is a silver silk & has 2 layers of blue glittery net over it to give a perfect scaly effect. the waist band & finns are made from silver faux leather & finished off with green fabric glitter. the tail fastens with a popper button.

i hope ou like how she turned out.

thank you, im really pleased you like her. i will see how well this one does on ebay & if i get a lot of interest i would definately be up for making some of the other characters.

thank you, im glad you like her. this is the first time i have ever rerooted this style of doll hair. it was a LOT of work but i think it was worth it

I`m surprised we dont see more barbie customs of POP characters here great work on the custom even if POP isn`t my cup of tea. great job on the hair and sculpt.
