"We have a Ram-Man"
Theory:
The Q/A threads are a way to create the illusion that fans are connecting with Mattel. And the illusion that Mattel is actually giving us straight answers to the questions fans ask.
More like give us your $$$ & **** off

Hmm, interesting. It's always groovy to see when someone has a different perception of things. Perception is reality after all. Thanks for sharing.

Funny how some fans think mocking Mattel makes them funny and cool.
Scott's a big poopoo head, high five!
well it is 'question and answer' and not 'tell mattel what you want to see'.
One of the true fan minority - happy MOTU fans!

I've almost completely lost interest in the monthly Q&A's, as they really don't tend to reveal very much frankly. I can see how the original poster feels this way, as it does sometimes read that we pretty much get told no to most requests for one reason or another. As far as it not being a "tell Mattel what you want to see"...well....what are these sessions supposed to be for then? It should be geared towards what types of things fans want to see.
My Trader Feedback: http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...ellent-trader!
Would you ever consider--?
No, the logistics do not allow for it.
Will you guys be making--?
No, logistically speaking, that is a no.
How about making us a new--?
No, because of the logistics, but thanks for asking.
Will you be making a second version of--?
No, as per the logistics of logistics.
But maybe--?
Logistically, the answer is logically No.
Could you--?
Logistics aside, we have to consider the logistics of the logic behind the aforementioned logistics to arrive at a logistical answer.
But-- but-- but--!
No buts, just logistics. We only speak in logistics to ensure logistical answers to your questions.
Okay, fine.... never mind.
Have we reached by way of logic and logistics reached a logical conlogisticalclusion? Logic? I wholelogisheartedtically agree, so go logic yourself

Every one has at least one answer that just makes you feel like you got gut punched, and like you dropped the soap in a public shower.
Nothing gets addressed, ever, and all questions all get mostly canned answers from a playbook or something.
Will you....? We cannot comment past.... (we can, but #$#@ you)
Have you....? We will raise prices to say we will give you X amount of accessories now, but use an excuse as to why we still can't even after the figures reach $40.
DR....? We are addressing this....(This will still be the answer in 2014)
Subs....? We say #%@! anyone poor enough to not buy a sub or who only wants to collect like they want, because you do not collect like we the Gods at Mattel say you should, you are not needed, be gone...
Need I quote the latest little slip about pickers from Scott on that one?
Yes I do!
We could actually cut the line to 2012 subs only and do just fine.
Recent....Foe Men, Karatti & Spirit of Hordak
Coming....
Wanted....Filmation Hordak & Clawful, Seahawk, Castaspella, Batros & Icer

I understand the feeling of this thread, but occasionally the Q&As do reveal a nugget of good information or start a controversy. Like how a Q&A revealed that the Wind Raider underperformed or what Management thought about Illumina? Those quotes were picked apart for months.
The bottom line is that Mattel's "questions and answers" have become more and more uninformative. When we get 4 real answers out of the dozens of questions asked, we're very lucky.
Indeed, there's that corporate language, with those "ready to post non-answers" (maybe in a movie year, keep reading the bios, we can't comment past character X, this discussion just didn't take place yet, we're always struggling to improve QC, etc.).
Usually, the best Q&A's are the ones that are just before or just after a convention.
It has become so annoying that I don't ask questions anymore. I just wait for the conventions and statements from TG.
The dialogue with the fans has become sterile. And we must add the fact that some of the serious issues are still unanswered and unaddressed, despite TG's promise that there would be solutions very soon. Some people here on the forums, who have a subscription, still didn't get their Wind Raider, or Star Sisters, or Fisto, or Shadow Weaver. That's not normal.
Another problem is that some of the answers that we get, happen to be lies in the end... So I understand why some fans may feel that the Q&A's are a bit unuseful.

I used to read Comedian's round-up thing all the time. He even started posting them on my forum for a while. But now I don't bother reading any of the Q&A's, it's just depressing.
What bothers me most is that Scott will happily answer inane questions like, "What colour should XXX character's 2mm belt buckle be?" but he won't answer things like, "Why is my $124 (after shipping) Stay Puft looking like he's been peed on?" or, "After 29 days, why am I still sans my Feb. order?" I'm getting so sick of pointless questions getting answered when important once are constantly and consistently ignored.
So I think the OP and all the other humuorous comments are spot on, capturing the feeling of a lot of fans these days.
Well, I for one am going to keep reading the bios.![]()

Absolutely right about the varying depth of the answers. However, I think part of the problem is the selection of questions which gets put forward from each site. Lame questions about belt buckle colour schemes should never be chosen when there are plenty of challenging questions to choose from.
