    And here's the grand finale...

I routed the real wiring through his arm. Also, I display him wth the translucent Yellow Sword that came with Skeletor in the TRU two packs.

The translucent hand was carved out of a translucent calf of a DC universe fugure, using a exacto knife and dremel tool. It will snuggly hold MOTUC weapons

Other than that, the major art was sculpting the chest piece, bangle, waiste, and head out of magic sculpt putty.

The back-pack was an LED key chain, that I opened up & soldered wires onto in order to extend the LED into the hand socket. It takes 3 watch batteries.

The entire base body, including the legs, was repainted entirely so that all parts would match. The ram staff was stripped with acetone and colored with a red permanent marker, along with the translucent hand, then coated with a protective finish.

    PARTS USED:

    Skeletor torso
    Skeletor arms
    Battle Armor He-Man waiste
    Roboto Legs
    DC Universe Lex Luthor Boots
    He-Ro loin cloth
    Faceless One Ram Staff
    TRU Two Pack Skeletor Sword
Various rubber "wires" from McFarlane figures
Key Chain LED Light from Orchard supply

Hey Vertigo Ink, thanks for the feedback.

Well, I'm not the best painter. All of my skills are in black and white sketching and sculpting realy. I want to learn how to use an air brush someday, but for the time being, use acrylic paint. Sometimes I don't want to paint on too many layers because acrylic paint can get thick...other times, I'm just lazy or in a hurry to finish the piece, lol.

I'll try a lil' harder next time brother
Wasn't trying to be critical it's just your work is so spot on I was wondering if maybe you got a bad bunch of paint pots or something was all- also holy *%@! man that Laser Light Skeletor is amazing! I hope the classics version of LLS we get is close to that concept!

SEE, this is the variant I tried to explain to people could be made and still make Shadow Weaver as an exclusive relevant! It's basically like corrupted Light Spinner/Shadow Weaver without being held back by Hordak's power limits. LOVE IT! I'd love to hear how you made it.

I absolutley LOVE that Laser Light Skeletor! So excellently done! All the others are awesome too (love the self-figure--I'm working on one of my own in MOTUC) and my second favorites would be Platino, Green Skeletor (both), and Lizard Man (both). Oops Orko is also totally awesome.

I think I've commented on many of these figures previously It's nice to see them all in one place great work oon LLS skelly and the BG SW I've always been a fan of showing leg on SW 2 of my customs of her did just that and your right it generally isn't accepted as a whole too radical I guess. great work on your customs keep it up.

This concept is how I envision He-Man regaining popularity in today’s market.

Detail, and Armor are in. Muscle has a bit of a challenge standing alone.

Sad, I know, but strength is more viewed by martial-arts talent rather than a muscular physique. He-Man is the personification of “Power”, so by today’s terms of what gets people excited about a warrior type, this is what I’ve designed.

The muscle is there, but he is armor clad, which foretells a story of extreme battles and danger ahead.

Oh Yeah… and the bowl cut… not really popular these days. The Feax-Hawk is though.
    Seriously, that is a bad-a** He-Man!

Thanks dudes Yeah, I think the armor in addition to his swoles, plus a modern-day rugged (not boyish) hair cut, definatey keep the barbaric nature in place, while truely making him look inteligent at the same time. I think the "conan" direction that is more of a popular idea for revamping He-man makeshim seem like intelligence insnt part of his attack style. I also think the raw barbarian thing is failing as of late in themovie world...my god was Conan a shameful homage to that genre...while Knightly heroes seem to be eternal in the theatrical world. The heroes of clash of the titans and the immortals seem to havegathered more excitement and respect...

I'm a huge fan of the Starz program "Spartacus", and the short hair look (which can include the faux hawk, sorta) is definitely the preferred version of a Gladiator's look; at least for the heroes, anyway. Most all the lead men have buzzed or slightly slicked up hair.

The tribal tattoos on the figure are a great addition, and they remind me of that He-Man variant from 200X that had tattoos. The notion of silver armor as a He-Man basic look is key to an update, I think. That 200X Snake Armor was the best official variant of He-Man EVER.

WOW! I they're all great! And I love Anthro-Cat! I've been wanting to do something similar for a while, and he turned out amazing!
I bought TWO 2013 Subscription as support, because of the promise that showing support will ensure 2014 will include ALL the major POP and NA characters.

Hey, just got a couple of heads from my cuz. They are awesome. I can't realy paint, but I'll see if I can do my own custom with one of them. He sent me a cat guy head, fang man and his version of he-man with the new hair. I love his work, and I can't say its because of bias. Wish he'd get a job doing this stuf, he is so talented! He made a Miami Dolphins he-man for me because I live in Florida. Nutty work!

    Love ya man!
