Those're really cool, thanks for posting that review.
Hey gang! Good Ole' Devall here. I thought I would drop by and post the review of the very cool D&J Toys Masters Display shelf! And since I don't EVER do Masters reviews, I had to call in the expert! Pixel Dan! Check it out below!
Those're really cool, thanks for posting that review.
Ask not for whom MOTUC is made, it's made for thee.
I was looking at those a few days back and want to buy some. Nice review by the way.![]()
Ya Tengo El Poder!!!!!!
When I first started watching the video, my first thought was about how easy it would be for MOTUC figures to dive right off of that shelf. Then it happened on camera to Pixel Dan.
The shelves themselves look great. I just think they would work better with an action figure line where the figures have tight ankles. I'm sure they would work great with 200X figures.

I like em enough, but I don't really like the MOTUC brick pattern, so I don't like these as they match the brick pattern. good concept but not my taste due to that fact.

That felt less like a review and more like an infomercial. LOL I like the way they are wall mountable, pretty cool

Devall and Pixel Dan! Great to see you guys together again! Great job.
Few questions:
1) Can the shelf be placed side by side to another shelf like it and the patterns and archways will match?
2) Are the mounting slots on the back at 16" centers so they can be mounted onto wall studs?
Thanks for posting Devall, do more more stuff with Dan...its like watching an Abbott & Costello routine![]()
Yeah...I get what you're saying. You're right, it did come off a bit like that. I hadn't actually seen the shelf until we were right there filming it, so it was almost like a "live" review for me. I did my best to focus on actually discussing the shelf, but it was Devall's video so I also made sure to step back and let him quide teh flow.I'm happy he asked me to help him out with the video. It was fun to film!

Those are good questions for Devall. I don't have the shelf in front of me to check out, personally. the mounts in the back were very similar to what you see on many wall-mountable decorations and displays, and easily fit on the nails he had ont he wall. I'm sure studs/screws would all work great.
As for the pattern matching up, I'm willing to bet the archways on the ends would be closer together.
We're both very busy with our "own things" going on, but I'm sure this isn't the last time you'll see us on video together.![]()

I just love Dan's super smug look when he is first revealed, it had me in stitches![]()
Well, I wanted to give you an accurate answer, so I went to the J of D&J Toys to get the answer for ya! Below is his answers!
1) Yep, they can be setup on the wall where they match up and work fine. A drop or 2 of superglue can but put on the shelves to bond them together before they are hung if a person wanted.
2) I never really thought about the idea of matching up to wall studs. They're pretty light and even with 5, 6 or even 7 figures on it, it's not a lot of weight. The ones I have mounted and took pictures of are up just using thumbtacks and stuck on a drywall. I didn't even look for the studs and since the thumbtack isn't even all the way through the drywall, it's not even in a stud. BUT, if a person were to make a note in the order. I'd make sure to measure and get the mounts where they wanted. That's done by hand too so there's no reason I can't adjust if it's not already there.
Also I should point this out since it might come up. I do everything I can to keep the sizes exactly the same but I can't rule out a fingernail height difference if a shelf was bought one time and later another purchased due to the whole handmade factor. I have guides and patterns I use however, so it still wouldn't be noticed that much if it were to happen.
Plus, here are some updates from him pertaining to New Adventures as well as the beasts!
Also, I'm working on a New Adventures He-Man display as you had pointed out in the video. I'm also doing another one that will be for the "beasts". Something that Battlecat, Gy-Gor, and such will sit on comfortably. I'll stick to the same design idea, but enough of a difference that they will be unique to their own look. I really never even thought about that when I made the others since at that time there was only talk of Battle Cat coming out
None taken!
I think the issue is, I really wanted to get these out to the community so people could see them. I really loved these things when I first saw them and knew how cool they looked in the pictures and was like "I NEED some of those"! because all of my masters are just on a plain shelf, which you can see behind me at the start of the video.

Great review! The beginning of the video had me in stitches with laughter.
Though I do share others concerns about the figures taking a dive... would this shelf work better in conjuction with the figure stands? or maybe if some kind of pegs could be attached to somehow hold the figure to the shelf?
Top 10 Most Wanted:1/Madame Razz (with Broom), 2/Scorpia, 3/Glimmer 4/Filmation Hordak (with Imp), 5/Kowl, 6/Queen Angella, 7/Two-Bad 8/Modulok, 9/Dylamug and 10/Strong Arm.
Meh... I don't like these at all. Funny video though!
Actually, the stands do look pretty cool on these shelves. I didn't think of including them because I don't have the diaplay bases out. After you brought this up I went and dug them out and took a look and it's kind of neat!
Thanks Mangs.
