    Dolph and Langella hopeful Cameo.

Found this on IMDB last night.
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093507/...item=tr1470566

"Dolph Lundgren went on record in a French magazine interview by saying that working on the "Masters of the Universe" movie was "a nightmare" for him. Lundgren said it was a five month filming schedule, two of which were done during night time, and he was proposed by the crew in doing a sequel while filming "Red Scorpion", but he turned down the offer. Ironically, in an interview with the IO9 web site while he was promoting "The Expendables", Dolph Lundgren said he would return to appear in a new "Masters of the Universe" movie, as either a cameo or even reprise the role of He-Man. "

I wonder if Langella was ever asked also?

Dolph should be King Miro for a new movie.

I actually think Langella would make a wonderful Miro, actually. He has the presence of a wizened king.

Dolph should be King Grayskull. He could still play the part. Frank Langella could be Hordak or King Miro.

I like the idea of Dolph as King Grayskull. That'd be cool. Other than the fact that I don't think they should talk about King Grayskull in the first movie at all. LOL. But that would be a great role for him!

I really dig the Idea if say they wrote in the script a brief scene depicting the battle between Grayskull and Hordak. And they were to do the cameo's for both characters.

But it is true a script hasn't been done yet. But it makes me happy that Dolph would atleast do a cameo if was offered.

As far as I'm concerned, Langella should be the voice of Skeletor. Dolph Lundgren filming a cameo as King Grayskull also seems like cool way to have him in the movie.

    Dolph for Skeletor.

Although his voice only works for 'Punisher'.

No it worked for He-man too. I don't think Dolph would cameo in the movie he hated wearing his He-Man costume.
Man-At-Arms: That's very interesting, but silly.

I was uncomfortable watching him wear that leather straps and rings and silk cape.

    Sometimes its 'what' you wear.

(and the toy had all those two-peice chest armours you could try out on him ...no Barbie purses though)

Dolph would make a great King Grayskull! I'm sure the remarkable resemblance is no coincidence.

And let's face it, he might as well just strap on the old costume since that and Grayskulls attire are practically identical anyway! (Again, probably no coincidence!)

Lets face it, even growing up with the classic mini comics and the filmation series. MYP added history to MOTU. King Grayskull and Hiro are forever engrained in Eternian history for me. So I see why not to add a "subplot" about Grayskull in the movie.

I don't know, I'm not a huge fan of the movie. Even as a kid I was like “What the.....?” It was waaaaay too campy and low budget looking. I think the further they steer clear from any part of that movie the better. I hate the idea of original actors getting cameos in remakes. All around no for me.

That is awesome. I would love to see Dolph as King Grayskull! Seriously, it woulld be, to me, one of the greatest movie cameos ever. The movie needs to come to fruition ASAP so that we can get Dolph in there.

It's not the people characters that one would need to worry about in a Masters movie, its the creature-people of Eternia that will take up alot of placement in scenes and in story.

Like the Pigmen,, who in my work built the skull face of King Chomp on castle GreySkull.

Like the Snakemen,, who can't keep the fear symbolism of the mountain under control.

Like the Lobstermen,, pirates,, who feel unjustly treated by eternian law.

Like the Elephantmen,, better with patience than flying.

Like the Flutterinas,, who, if their not being stepped on, are made to wear designer yoga outfits.

    ..and the list goes on.

There is no King Chomp. There never was a King Chomp, and there most likely never will be a King Chomp. There is however a King Grayskull which many fans have chosen to embrace.

Your ideas are less MOTU, and more a bizarre anthropomorphic fantasy. Making these characters the focus of any movie would be disastrous. It would be akin to removing all the Sith and the Jedi from Star Wars, and following stories about random aliens who more often than not speak in gibberish that no one understands.

An actual MOTU, if there was any screen time given to characters that show racial diversity in Eternia (and are not integral to the plot) would most likely feature Andreenids, Merfolk, Kulataks, Ice Trolls, Caligars, Snakemen, The Dragons of Darksmoke, and other races pulled from MOTU mythos.

Thankfully some fans will never have creative control over any MOTU property.

    ..(so snakemen good' pigmen bad'?)

Also Granamyr the dragon is a major player in my work. (and I call the ice troll a Po-A-Lar)

I'd like to do the voice of Granamyr.
