Except he's featured the same way in the pinup art with, I'm assuming, Shadow Weaver.

I'm not a big fan of the art(it's not bad, but it's not the type I usually gravitate towards), but I really don't want Hordak to look like a villain on a CW show. If he was an enemy of Superman, that totally looks like something Smallville would have given us.

Well, considering Smallville's budget and writers at the time, Hordak probably wouldn't have even looked even remotely like himself. He probably would have been an albino with dark hair and piercing blue eyes, with that same Calvin Klein body in the art. And he would've been a potential love interest for Lois Lane too, to make Clark Kent jealous. That kind of crap is what bogged Smallville down for several seasons. Even in the final season, they couldn't even do Darkseid total justice, making him some dark fog being who turned into crows.

Sad thing in those few panels showing Adora and Bow: I learned more about them from that short dialogue than I did about Adam in a whole issue of the comic.

I dont think Neb is doing Witchblade anymore. I believe they have a new art team, or they did. He was going to work on another coimc, but I forgot which one it was. Of course that information was months ago so I could be wrong I suppose.

As always I love his style. Im not sure why, just do. But I can see how its not everyones taste. Thats the thing though, some ppl love art and some ppl have it. I'd love for him to do the comic.

nebezial does some breathtaking stuff. His TMNT stuff is equally as amazing.

I would love to see Neb do MOTU and PoP comics. I like his work because I think it looks like stuff done for a movie adaptation, which is REALLY cool. His He-Man and She-Ra "posters" are amazing!

I dont see Calvin Klein. Usually those are hot men, not men with blood coming down their face. But to each their own.

I'm sure Adora grows. Maybe she's 6 foot instead of 5 something.

Announcing a New Writer for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

Keith Giffen (OMAC, GREEN ARROW) has joined HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE as writer, starting with issue #2 out on September 5. Giffen will continue the stories of many favorite heroes and villains from Eternia in the six issue, limited print series. We asked Giffen to share his thoughts on joining HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and he explained:

"He-Man and friends were a big part of my son's young life. That meant that they became a big part of my life too. I can still rattle off the plotlines to more than a few of the cartoons and am still pretty good at reattaching the arms and legs of woefully abused action figures. I'm thinking that more than qualifies me to write the HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE comic book. Well... that and the fact that I so want to. I mean, c'mon... it's He-Man!"

Issue #1 of HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE is on sale now, and keep an eye out for Giffen’s first issue (#2) coming in September.

Well, Keith Giffen sounds 1000 times more excited about this series from those few sentences than I got from the multiple interviews I read about James Robinson. It's also really cool that this person is a fan.

Btw, apologies for not having posted any news on the front page in awhile. I'm unable to do it from this computer at the moment. Talked to Danielle and Captain Atkin about this several days back back. It's part of the reason I had to turn down being part of the official .org news/interviews crew...lol

On the one hand I'm happy since I'm a huge Giffen fan(his Justice League is my favorite run on a superhero team book ever & I love his Ambush Bug), but on the other I'm sad that a writer of his calibre is stuck playing clean up.

I know DC has really been making things up as they go along with their New 52 by changing writers, artists, & costumes at the last possible second, but I'm shocked that this is being done on a licensed book that Warner Brothers has no ownership in. I wonder if Mattel made the call, DC did, or if Robinson left of his own accord. It's a shame this wasn't done before the first issue came out.

I'm hoping it's because the comic is selling through the roof and DC got really particular about who was writing on it. (Like I know anything about the quality of Giffen's writing.)
