The design of Orko is a perfect blend of Filmation and 200x. I like it. Not a fan of the art style, though.
Wow, another entirely different art style. Grayskull looks pretty good in this one. Its interesting that they do not seem to have one consistent model for it at all, and all artists just draw it however they want.
Would be amusing if that was the entire comic, universe destroyed: THE END![]()

Where do you get the digital comics at?
Well, that Orko comic was sort of messed up. It wasn't terrible, but it was messed up. Still better than the black and white 'Sin City' rip-off Evil-Lyn comic, however. Won't stop me from reading the series.

BY THE POWER OF GREYSTONE! I am the power.

DC He-Man comic #2 coming in at #118 with 19,737 initial order

Loved that first page with Orko - the style is strangely childish & quirky.
Then the image of He-Man and Battle Cat racing towards you - classic. Cat looks intimidating! Feels serious!
The look of Greyskull is awesome - much better than I've seen it recently. It looks ghostly and somewhat demented - like a place you don't want to go near.
Orko's entrance - the way he messes up the spell is so absurd & typical. I couldn't help but laugh. Had the Sorceress not taken any precautions against this kind of frivolity?Again, I love how's he's drawn.
The explosion is a good effect.
Then the power switch between He-Man and Orko is very funny. Again, the artist captures the comedy of it very well! I'm enjoying the story. Orko is a great foil here.
The switch to the blue-lined paper - like the whole thing suddenly became a child's doodling - underscores the lightness and whimsy of the spell's error. It sets up a great contrast with the humorously drawn Evil Warriors. Skeletor looks creepy and is surrounded by a serious - evil looking light, but the way the other characters are mixed up by the magic, especially Trap-Jaw and Panthor, is quite funny. There is something quite bathetic about it!
The following pages keep up the funny blend of serious and cute - I really enjoyed seeing these styles so mixed up, like the water-pistol & Buzz-Off's transformation, Mer-Man's rebellion, the hieroglyphics & pac-man, nods to Roger-Rabbit - they had fun making this one...
Orko re-establishes his place in the mythos for me having read this. "I temporarily have the power!" Fun stuff & probably the best short comic by DC to date.![]()

Man, that #6 cover is all kinds of awesome!!

I am continually impressed with his ability to make the blah redesigns sing.
Yep... I wish he was in charge of the pages art too...![]()
So we've got two origins coming out? One for He-Man and one for Skeletor. Phenomenal! The artwork for both covers looks superb, although Adam looks oddly like Faker in the origin one. Obviously just the way its coloured.
That cover shot of He-Man and Skeletor is amazing! I can not wait to get this.
Meow,
Princess Selina Desire
LOL! That would be like original Transformers Marvel run. It was a four-issue limited series back in 1984...they went up to #80.
Hell, 21 years later IDW continued the run from #80.5.
This is true. And I do believe Mr. Wilkins will be doing inside art as well. I really love his take on MOTU. Those Power Con prints were off & over the chain for sure. This guy get's it. Mr. Wilkins mentioned he was doing a cover and did it in a MOTU classics that we know & love. But had to change it to the redesigns that DC did. He said he tried his very best to make it look amazing. Oh...he did not like that he had to do Evil Lyn in purple colors.
I hope Wilkins gets to work on a project that's entirely painted!
I hope the digital comics will be able to own in print form (not sure how the digital comics work).
Well that Skeletor on the cover of issue 6 is the best one we've seen so far, he's not way too big for one thing.
"It's just a ride."
