Didn't Stratos confront Evil-Lyn in Diamond Ray Of Disappearance? Can't remember.

Yup. Stratos wrapped Lyn up in her own cape. He thwarts her again in MYP too...

WEEEEEEE! @ the info MGM posted about issue 3. Round 2, *****es!

I'm also VERY happy the Mer-Man cover is a regular one. I really like that cover. It sucks the Skeletor one is a variant. I want that one too!

EDIT: DC comics' website has a larger pic of issue #3's cover posted and He-Man's cross is RED in it! WOO! Now, that picture is even more awesome!

Even though I am coming to terms with the new look and I like it, that cover would look beyond awesome if it had the original look for He-Man

I'm definitely going to get these even though I am not a huge comic reader. Looking forward to all of them.

Can I be a complete idiot and ask a stupid question? What is the best and fastest way to order this comic?

Is there a place where I can order it online and have it delivered by July 4th or so? Or does every online shop deliver it once they receive it on that day?

    Thanks in advance!!

I don't think this is a stupid question.

I've checked two online comic sites and both are sold out of #1 and #1 variant. I will be at SDCC, so maybe I can get them there, but they will undoubtedly be sold for super inflated prices because everyone knows MOTU fans are dumb that way

    advice?

Did Mattel tell them to make the cross red or did DC make a last second change like they did with New 52 Wonder Woman's pants?

I'm not a fan of He-Man's new armor(it looks like a toy a kid would wear more than it used to) or Red Sonja inspired panties, but I guess I could see someone thinking it looks "cool". What I don't understand is why would they make the cross yellow? Not only does it not stand out as much as red does, it is not a color usually used to show power.

I really wish I could be of some assistance Brian, but I have no idea. I just wanted to say that if two comic sites are already sold out of BOTH issue #1s it sounds pretty promising. Hopefully a full series expands from this. If you can't find a retailer selling it at cost, I'm sure someone from the .org could help you out though.

I'm not sure which is the final cover. I would guess the red one because it's on DC's website *shrugs*. I agree about the yellow/bronze though. It's almost the same colour of his skin! That does not stand out. Red totally does though and it's a STAPLE of the He-Man costume, in my opinion. I would by that cover art as a poster.

I offered this in the beginning of the thread and it just bares repeating: I will help ANYONE who doesn't have a comic shop near them!! Just PM me and we'll make arrangements. I am buying the comic at cover price and will only charge cover price. I'm not looking to make money on this at all, and ship whatever way you want. I just want everyone to get ahold of a copy that wants one. Overseas is no problem for me. You can PM me or email me at batkid03@aol.com

I keep forgetting this is coming out and then I saw the lastest pic. I'm looking forward to its release. Granted, not everything is the same, but thats a good thing, in my opinion. I dont mind the design changes.

As for the story, it feels familiar. But I guess one can only write an opening story so many ways....

I'm really hoping these comics are made available for purchase online as part of the DC/Comixology site and mobile device apps. I've been playing around with the Comixology app for the iPad -- it is very cool, and I'm ready to not buy the paper-based comics in favor of the electronic issues if given the option.

Excuse my ignorance (not a comics person at all, but MOTU would make me one once more) leading up to these questions:

    1. Does DC typically release all its comics electronically?
    2. Has anyone heard anything about electronic availability of the MOTU series? Alternatively, is there some place online where we can subscribe to the print edition of this series already?
    3. Am I just being impatient for this info?

    Cheers!

In my opinion, He-Man looks almost exactly the same. Minor differences don't bother me.

Yeah, really! You'd think the Power of Greyskull allowed for a change of clothes occasionally.

I like that it's not straight up classic designs.
I like the direction on the redesigns.
Really looking forward to the series.

A big budget movie is about the only thing that will help the franchise gain more fans, but even that doesn't mean those same fans will start buying more comics & toys.
I think that there's little doubt that comic readership is smaller than the toy collecting community. The best selling books barely pass the 150,000 mark, and the vast majority sell well below that, lots in the 40-50,000 range. Most toy lines would likely fold in a wave or two with those kind of sales.
