I got a couple copies of the He-Man cover today. I asked the comic store employee about the Skeletor variant cover and he says the store puts their variant covers on e-bay for people to bid on. I found that to be a bit frustrating.

I haven't grabbed issue #1 yet, I'm going regular cover even though the variant is much better looking. I've never dropped $20 on a comic book and I'm not starting now, too much for my tastes. The variant photo does adorn my laptop as a cool wallpaper which I'm happy about

it was a one time deal for me. I'll skip the rest of the variants for that price. This one went straight into a frame....never opened it. Read the other copy and framed that too...they look awesome on the wall though!

That James Robinson is dead. This is "Cry for Justice" Robinson who maimed Red Arrow and had Green Arrow kill Promethius.

Has anyone seen the other cover for issue 2 yet? Or hasn't a picture been released?

That variant cover sure is a great enough to be framed. If only those designs stayed within the book itself.

Sounds like this series is lacking in terms of the writing as well. I'll form my own thoughts about it once I get a copy myself.

I've gotten both books now and I can honestly say I rather liked both except for the horse **** designs of Skeletor, Evil Lyn and the rest of the evil warriors in Laser Lot's book. The artwork in the He-Man and the MOTU book is better than Laser Lot's issue.

After reading both books, I now remember why I used to like reading them so much. The writers don't waste time with melodrama and other crap. With only twenty some pages to tell a story, they stick directly with the main theme and get the point running right away.

I haven't liked reading a MOTU comic series this much since Vol. 3 of the MOTU series from MVC.

Is Nebezial/Stjepan Šejić (he draws Witchblade for Top Cow) trying to apply or campaign for a job drawing MOTU comics?

He's been really letting loose lately on DeviantArt!

I really like some of the design aspects on Hordak and Shadow Weaver. Especially the way Hordak's machinery is more integrated and flows with his body.

It looks like he's just powering up and then putting on his full armor. You can see it in the last panel.

Except he's featured the same way in the pinup art with, I'm assuming, Shadow Weaver.

I'm not a big fan of the art(it's not bad, but it's not the type I usually gravitate towards), but I really don't want Hordak to look like a villain on a CW show. If he was an enemy of Superman, that totally looks like something Smallville would have given us.

I don't care for that art, either. Talent is on display, but not a look I care for when it comes to MOTU.
    My seller/trader/buyer feedback:
    http://he-man.org/forums/boards/showthread.php?t=195461

MOTUC Most Wanted: Skeletor's Robot Knights, Two-Bad, Horde Troopers, Modulok, Sssqueeze, Tung Lashor, Stridor, Night Stalker, the Battle Ram, and a true, alternate head for Wun-Dar (since he's a "different" character)!

OMG, you're totally right! I didn't notice that at first. He's half naked, has the tubes in him "powering up" and then his hood and shoulder pads appear and his tech armour slowly "grows" on him until it's fully complete in the last panel. That's creepy and insanely cool at the same time!
