I love both couples and am even old enough to remember when Opus plush dolls were second only to Garfield plush dolls available at almost every store in town. While I feel creator Bill Watterson is an oddball akin to JD Salinger, I prefer his art & comic strip slightly more than Bloom County. I have to give it to Calvin And Hobbes.
I never really got into either. I voted for Calvin and Hobbes because I had many friends that loved them and I remember seeing many vehicle decals featuring them as well as inspired by them.
Ask not for whom MOTUC is made, it's made for thee.
It was tough choice for me but I went with Bloom County. I loved this when I was younger..actually still do. To this day one of the greatest story arcs was the hair growth formula run.

Calvin and Hobbes any day of the week. My absolute favorite comic strip.

Although I did read Bloom County some, I much prefer Calvin & Hobbes.
Bloom County was pretty great, but for for me, Calvin and Hobbies still wins easily.
Calvin and Hobbes was/is one of the best comics of all time.

Rob Liefeld isn't a comic artist, he's a women's clothing designer. Think about it
Bloom County was great, but Calvin and Hobbes was hands down the better strip. Maybe the best ever! I read it in the newspaper for just about the entire run.
