I'd like to think a car would be a bit more important than a plastic toy - no offence, at the moment I'm not losing much sleep over this issue.

The thing is, even those who do see the error aren't losing much sleep over the issue either.

What he was trying to explain is, regardless of the object, an Error is an Error; some may notice it less than others, but it doesn't change the fact that it is what it is.
I'm glad that you're not bothered by it, but it seems that the thing that IS bothering you is that some people find it less-accepatble than you do?

Different Strokes for Different Folks. Don't lose too much sleep about that, okay?

I totally get why people are angry at this mess up - but Mattel can't do anything about it NOW - its impossible - the figure is good to go - its going on sale in a few weeks. Mattel know that the majority of the fans are upset about it - and I'm hoping they don't do this kind of thing going forward. I just think people should wait until they have the figure in hand before making total judgement on it. To me, it looks OK and I have no issue about anyone making big noise about this - if you're unhappy about it - carry on shouting from the rooftops - all the power to you.

Just saying to me, its a small problem that's all and I can accept it.

It's not impossible. Mattel is the largest toy company in the world. Last fall the world's fourth largest toy company, LEGO, pulled a large batch of $150 retail sets that were missing a small bag of parts. Of course LEGO is an ethical company with impeccable customer service. Mattel on the other hand refuses to correct their mistakes, let alone admit to them.

After reading all the stuff about the Stinkor issue, and the way they handled it, just makes me mad.
Deciding to change something like that, just because they thought it was "cool" and not consulting the fans about our actual position (like they did in the past), IMO just show a huge lack of respect for fans.
If there wasn't a sub service, and buyers decided to boicot the figure, not buying him, what would be Mattel's reaction to something like that?
It's just another one of those cases where Mattel has us on the palm of their hands. If you really want him, you'll have to buy him because re-issues are not being made, and if they were, the problem would continue...

I can sympathize. POP, NA and 200X have been folded into MOTU, so there probably will be no anniversaries for those properties.

There are no plans for a reissue or a new version of Stinkor anytime soon at this time. The version released in May is the definitive version for MOTUC as Mattel design team created.
Please note who's definitive version this is. Not the 4 Horsemen's. And definitely not that fans'.

But in all fairness, what are we REALLY getting for MOTU's 30th anniversary? A convention exclusive 'concept' figure and a sub-line of all new characters that for the most part (save for maybe Draego-Man, and to a lesser extent, Photog) haven't really gone over all that well with fans.

It's not exactly like most of the stuff coming out specifically for MOTU's 30th is really anything to write home about.

I'm assuming you accepted the exact same problem the previous four times, as well?

Me, I think five of the same small problems makes a big problem, because it means Mattel is still not paying attention.

TG's answer to Max's question about SDCC potential vehicles:

We weren't even able to sell enough Windraiders as is. There is just too much tooling involved and not enough customers to do more vehicles right now. Customer's vote with their purchase and the WR just did not sell well enough. We'll have to see how it does when it comes back this summer.

    *shudder
    My seller/trader/buyer feedback:

MOTUC Most Wanted: Skeletor's Robot Knights, Two-Bad, Horde Troopers, Modulok, Sssqueeze, Tung Lashor, Stridor, Night Stalker, the Battle Ram, and a true, alternate head for Wun-Dar (since he's a "different" character)!

Shadow Weaver, Granamyr and a bunch of vintage characters (Sorceress, Spikor, Fisto, Kobra Khan, Stinkor, Thunder Punch He-Man, Mosquitor and a Skeletor variant yet to be named, SO FAR). It's been a good year for general MOTU fans with all of the vintage characters that are coming out, more than any other year save 2009.

With Shadow Weaver, Sorceress and Spikor, that's three long-awaited fan demanded characters alone.

Argh...But the reason why they didn't do well was because it was the holidays, with surprise gifts and last minute items. SDCC is the total opposite of the holidays, where fans will definitely have the money and come from all over to buy expensive-ass exclusives!

    Here's the May Q&A's.

I'll finish adding the rest of April's soon.

Shadow Weaver is arguably POP (she may get lumped in with the Horde, but she's from the POP cartoon). I'm also not complaining about the line up, itself, but what POP and NA fans seem to be asking for is something extra beyond normal figure releases to celebrate their respective anniversaries. Simply getting a few popular POP or NA characters during their anniversary year alone (even if it was slightly more than the running average), wouldn't be enough, esspecially for some fans who seem to frequently put way too high of hopes and expectations into these things. My point is that many of the extra/unusual things that we have gotten/are getting this year (the 30th sub-line, this unusual concept exclusive with 3 different outfits) are turning out to be largely lackluster to many fans.

What NEVER makes any sense when he says this is the fact that they sold out of every single Wind Raider they put up for sale. How is that not customers speaking with their dollars?!
