"The Original" Burst MOTUC List

The purpose of this thread is to capture all MOTUC figures released with "The Original" burst. These pixs will be posted in chronological order from "re-issue" release date, however there are exceptions where some figures initially released did ship with this burst. Extra thanks to Kowl and MegaGearMax for helping me get this thread started. I will continue to update this thread as new figures are released.

Not much actually, just that they are later runs (re-issues), or first runs intended for re-issue status with a burst on them, because they were packaged at the same time as the ones without a burst.

Otherwise not much, He-Man & Skeletor had a few changes to them for the second run, and many see the "The Original" burst as a better release of them. Mer-Man I believe had something added to his bio on his re-issue.

I guess that it would mean more to MOC collectors, who'd think that figures without the burst are the more valuable figures.

There are 2 Skeletor's with the star burst. There is also the open-hand (first run) version that Mattel sold at SDCC.

And what about Swift Wind? They stickered over the incorrectly starbursted ones.

They're not considered "re-issues" and apparently the burst was a mistake, and since it was covered up, it shouldn't count. For one, I don't know if anyone actually received one that wasn't covered up.

I did but it was the extra I bought on sale date. Both my subs came with the sticker to cover up the burst.

Yeah, but a lot of figures pictures above came with the burst when they shouldn't have. The original poster asked for those that came with the burst.

I got the 1st re-issue of Keldor cause I missed him. Mine didn't have a burst. I have always wondered about that. Like if all Keldors are without the burst. Thanks for this list.

Some of the left over first runs were shipped with the re-issues, which is why some came with a burst and some didn't. Which is stupid, because technically it wasn't a re-issue if it had no burst.

Also on a side note, the Official re-issues are

He-Man, Beast Man, Skeletor, MAA, Stratos, Hordak, Mer-Man, Faker, Trap-Jaw, Zodac, Battle Cat, Goddess, Keldor, Tytus, Adora, Marzo, Evil-Lyn, Moss Man, She-Ra, Whiplash, Grizzlor, Buzz-Off, Zodac, Panthor, BG Teela, Gygor, Carnivus & BA Skeletor.

All of those are the only ones that are "Official" re-issues, and the only ones that should have the burst, all others never were never re-released to be re-issues, only left over first runs that had the burst printed. Any other figures that have the burst are either mistakes, or were supposed to have a second release, but it never officially happened....so it's all confusing, and to be honest Scott & Mattel, probably lost track and don't know either.

Keldor was improved for the second version, the half swords were changed from the pins to the much improved version used on the King Grayskull re-release.

Not entirely true, I have a first release MOSC Keldor, with the KG clipping swords.

A "burst" BG Evil Lyn??? That one doesn't even make sense since the "bursts" were suppose to stop with Clawful!
Hmmm, I'm really not sure about TriKlops, Man-E-Faces, King Hsss, & Orko, but I bought one of each today... Just in case.

Yes.. some of the sample Sy-Klone shipped out with the burst. Not a wide release yet though.

The "rare" burst ones are the ones that were released inadvertantly... So Roboto, Sy-Klone, Vikor, Bow, Shadowbeast and now BG Evil Lyn
