Yes, I like what they did with the origin story of He-Man is very cool - He-Ro provides the sword and King Grayskull is Adam's ancestor.

Reading the vintage styleguide I noticed that He-Ro's full name is 'He-Ro of Grayskull'. Was is ever explained what 'Grayskull' actually is in the vintage line? Because there was no Castle Grayskull in Preternia - only the three towers, right? I would like to know why one of the towers name is 'Grayskull Tower'.

I vote for Eldor figure too. And make Gigantisaurus as well! If you do this huge thing I promise I will buy it - just for the sake of owning such a ridiculously big piece of plastic.

Yeah... its probably just false hope though. (BUT Eldor would make a great SDCC esclusive for this year)

That was the first thing that crossed my mind. I've said elsewhere I doubted Gray would be coming in this line, but I failed to consider what TG has told us multiple times now: the main reason for the bios is to justify more figures to be made. Re-introduce Gray into the bios and you can make his figure (an easy task with little new tooling needed, as one poster pointed out in another thread).

I'm really glad I was apparently very wrong about Gray being ret-conned out of existence; I'd love a figure of him in the line.

As for Grayskull, according to the last minicomic, the castle was indeed there in the time He-Man visited; it was minty and in it's prime, far from the more run down, ancient look we are used to.

So if it is ok to simply call the "Sword of He" the "Power Sword" should we just translate Trollan into English from now on and start referring to "He-Man" as "Power-Man" instead? Or what about "He-Ro", can we just call him "Power-Ro" now?

So you are trying to say that he meant green is the rarest, and purple was the highest produced?

In fact there is no clarifty in his sentence at all. He said exactly this...

The red stone of defense would let He-Ro shoot red blasts at enemies. This was produced more than the green, but less than the purple. The very rare and least produced purple stone of healing would cast healing spells.
    So to break it down:

Red more than Green, Red less than Purple, Purple the rarest. Huh??? What???

How can Purple be the rarest if there is less Red were produced? But wait, there is more Red produced than Green? So is Green the rarest then? But then he said Purple is the rarest and least produced? So which is it? Basically it could be any one of those three colors that is the most rare. He offers no clarity whatsoever.

And the guy wonders why fans get upset with him. He speaks in tongues for crying out.

So, It really wasn't clarified which stone is the rarest except for the sentence...

"The very rare and least produced purple stone of healing would cast healing spells."

sigh! We really need to get TG a tutor for free writing and proof reading.

Green. Red. Purple. Most common to least common.

My best guess on the issue.

Maybe the executives felt the urgency to have someone conceptualize an extension line for POP from the get-go, and it happened to coincide with the estimated life cycle of the doll line and release of POG. I'm not sure if it's standard practice to come up with an extension line for every doll line during the first year release of the main/parent line. Morever, Jon's original origin story has the Eternian ties. That's what gives me the impression there may have been some back and forth between the two teams... but then they hired the Disney writer and the direction changed.
Definitely seems likely Jim, yeah! Also you had me cracking up reading the Disney writer part lol.

Just like Eldor's card back, Eldor prototype, and several others at one time. The thing with a lot of private collectors is that they keep things PRIVATE for a vast amount of reasons- one of them being to avoid making themselves a bullseye for thieves or being bugged to no end by fans/companies.

It wasn't meant to be funny. Was just a tangent statement. But now that I'm reading it again, I can see how it could seem like I meant it in a negative way. That was not the intention.

Although we won't get actual numbers, I would love to know the percentage split amongst the three stones (i.e. green 50%, red 30%, purple 20% ???).

He-Ro was my first figure and was the character that sealed the deal on my MOTUC obsession. And up until then I didn't even really care for him. I though he looked awesome. I just wish he had a softer cape.

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't care for Eldor at all. Compared to all of the other characters we've seen in the MOTUverse that play a similar role he is very generic and boring. And I find it creepy to see such an old man with the same body as He-Man. He looks like a homeless Santa to me. If we end up getting Eldor, I would like to see changes made to give him something unique to his look.

Its only been a few months since I've heard about Gray and Eldor but it would be great to have them in the line here. Hunter Knight made an awesome looking custom Eldor and if he's ever done, it'd be great to have hime with a look similiar to HK. Perhaps Eldor or Gray will be more in the lines of the sub exclusive, idk how popular they are in the "want list" but it's be great to have them both.

I think any character that appeared on a vintage card back, comic book, Filmation Cartoon, etc. should be made. And that goes for any vintage prototype or conceptual design from that era.

    Gigantisaurus.jpg

I was browsing the web and is this the "mythical" Gigantisaurus, that was supposed to be part of the Powers of Grayskull line?

He called the green stone the "Stone of Protection." Is this just a coincidence or is it supposed to be the same stone that was merged with the cloned Sword of He to make the "Sword of Protection?"

That was the going theory when he was announced.... It would have been Awesome to do it that way... Grayskull is He-man's ancestor, and He-ro is essentially She-ra's

However, Both She-ra AND He-ro's bios have come and gone with no mention... soooo probably not.

    Such a missed opportunity

I love how he credits himself for coining the term "spell stones". Yeah, TG you thought of it first... ever do a Google search?

"Google search"? That is kind of catchy, did you just make that up?
