Wow!!! I honestly had no thought of winning this contest. I simply wanted to help out a fellow orger (and an artist trying to get his work noticed!).

I don't contribute to the boards as much as I used to (been around since the Scrolls of Grayskull days) but I do visit daily and am still a HUGE MOTU fan. I have a 3 year old son, and he already knows about He-Man. Skeletor's his favorite--hope that's not an omen! And although he won't be playing with this MOTUC figure, he will know the cool story behind it! And as a fan of three decades, I will sincerely appreciate having this figure in my collection.

This really comes at a good time, as this week has been one of the most stressful ones I've personally had in recent memory. Thanks to Jack and his wife for helping out with the contest, and thanks to Jose for his generosity!

Congrats to LaRock! Kim and I had a lot of fun doing this. And, of course, a nod to JOXE for making it all happen.

    Best,

    Jack

Jack, at risk of sounding obtuse, you actually look much younger than I'd pictured!

I'm just waking up lol, as i was up late last night uploading the video (i dunno why it didn't want to upload using Chrome and my account, so i had to hijack my wife's account)

CONGRATULATIONS LA ROCK!!!! i'm contacting you via PM about your prize.

And THANK YOU JACK AND KIM for taking the time and effort to help us out, you have been extremely cool, generous and fun. It was cool to get to know your home office as well, see where the magic happens.

And Thank you again to all who voted and supported, you've all been so amazing that i wish i could afford a figure for every single one of you!

Perhaps we might do this again in the future, as it will be a priority for me to submit several designs this year.

Take care guys, we'll see each other around

It was our pleasure, JOXE, and as I said, thanks for making it happen. Best of luck on your artwork. You're an amazing artist.

Btw, as the volume isn't perfect on the video, when I refer to turning on the 'charm' with waitresses, the word I use is "schtick"; not the four-letter profanity that starts with s and ends with t. Just pre-emptively covering myself with Thatman.

And speaking of Thatman, thank you for your kind words, Thatman. Actually, at 63, I'm as old as you imagine me to be. It's just that 3,000 crunches on each of five days a week and working out with heavy iron three times a week helps to preserve me. At my age -- and with three children that are my first children, aged 12, 9 and 4, and a wife 19 years younger than me -- I'm kind of like a shark: either I keep swimming twenty-four hours a day or I sink to the ocean floor.

I agree....you look much younger than 63!! I was talking with my wife this morning about it (when I showed her the video) and we both think you look about 15-20 years younger

"Fear", to paraphrase Gordon Gekko, "is good. Fear is right, fear works. Fear clarifies, cuts through and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit." And it's true. Fear of that sabre tooth tiger is what kept ancient man alive, fear of going to prison is what keeps many people from committing crimes, and fear of Thatman is what motivates orgers to avoid breaking he-man.org's rules and regulations.

So you see, you serve a valuable purpose...as does the Ultimate Mod/Admin -- and hopefully your role model -- the infamous and very scary JVS3

You do have "very active" written all over you, very energetic. I should learn by example and change my sedentary ways but it is so hard, working all day indoors, mostly in front of a computer. I guess you just have to keep youself motivated, that's all. And i'm sure your loving wife has been instrumental in keeping you as healthy as possible.

Congratulations LaRock, that He-Man figure rocks!

JOXE, I've been away for several days so I'm not sure if there's been some news, so, how did you do in the contest? is your design going to be printed?

Hi krugos, sorry for the late reply, i've been busy as well.

We still don't know the results of the tee design contest. They'll announce it in about 45 days time. More like 2 months i think, since they still haven't announced the winner of the previous contest... I'll let all of you know as soon as the results are in. Thanks for checking in.

BTW, your name is orange... does that mean you're a mod, or something? I've been seeing a lot of Org member's names in orange lately.

Users with orange usernames are those who have shown support for He-Man.org by donating. Here's all the info on that, along with other perks that supporters get.

Hey guys! Sorry for the long delay, i've been extreeeemely busy this past month and a half...

The results of the contest are not in yet... But since it's been almost 3 months and i haven't yet received any email, i suppose it's safe to assume that my design didn't win...

However, it was the highest scoring design in that particular contest and garnered very positive comments. It is very rare for a new artist to be printed on his/her first submission, and this was my first so i'm not really surprised, or sad, but instead very grateful of the awesome support and appreciation of my work.

I'd like to once more THANK JACK and everyone here in the Org who participated in this awesome experience. I will be sure to repeat it sometime in the future. I have many cool things in the works, and hopefully some of them will be MOTU-related.... how would you like that?

Anyway, after the "4 Words or Less" contest there were other contests in which i did not participate due to lack of time. Then there was a contest which is now in its final stages of scoring, and i DID participate in that one, but with a very simple design.

The contest's theme is "simplicity" and i made a pizza / peace symbol mashup simple design. It's not an original idea, as it can be found ad infinitum elsewhere, but i made a design trying to merge my own style with the "minimalist" graphic style that's very popular among t-shirt sites.

I cannot afford a giveaway this time, but you are welcome to vote if you like it. It ends tomorrow (Thursday June 28th at 11 am EST)
