Yes she is.

I say she, because Mosquitor drinks blood - unlike male mosquitos.

Mosquitor is one of the few vintage I didn't get - didn't even know about her until the Internet.

Then, when I started looking for her online, I found out about MOTUC just before Beastman was sold.

So thanks, Moz - you look cool & you brought good luck.

i love the idea of mosquitor being a female. it worked well with her 200X design. it would work with her classic design too.. she's just be more of a P.E. teacher type.

but whether male or female, yes mosquitor is popular! i can't wait to own the classics version.

I hope that Mosquitor comes with both his gun and a Horde Crossbow, I really feel that is their signiture weapon, and represents a status symbol amgonst the generals in the horde. And I know no one else has a purple crossbow. So....Come on mattel, or at least include one in a weapons pak.

Mosquitor is a HE. Things work a bit different because they're all "aliens."

Mosquitos = females suck blood...yet Mosquitor sucks blood
Male Peacocks = beautiful, bright colours...yet Peek-a-Blue is a female

etc.

Anyway, I would go as far to say that Mosquitor is the MOST popular mosquito around!

I think he's cool, neat concept and I hope he has a really neat-o cheast feature when he debuts in Classics. Time will tell

Hoping he has his action feature. Only ever had the straction but the toy seems really really AWESOME!!! Can't wait for a "Classic" version of him!!!

PD, thanks to you and your review, Mosquitor is now the most wanted figure in my household. I have said numerous times my son loves your reviews and he saw your review for the vintage or as he says, "old skool."

I must admit I want him also in Classics ASAP. That blood pumping feature and his uber cybernetic coolness is pretty sweet. I can't wait to see what the 4H do with him.

Good point!

And Modulock is male, female, both or neither, according to how evil he wants to be

Not to mention Webstor, whose sex changes according to what he's been drinking...

So why is there no love for this guy? He's always been my favorite guy. My most fond memories is with this guy battling Buzz Off and dominating my little battlefield as a kid. I mean, Mosquitor doesn't even have an encyclopedia entry on this site. why is that? Or if you love Mosquitor, please speak up. Why do you like or dislike Mosquitor? Oh, and show some Mosquitor love by showing us yours. Here's mine. I had to get another as my old one was beat all to hell.

Wow I love this guy, is he really a member of the horde? Was he ever in the tv or comics? He's pure motu. I hope they make him. Sure buy for me.

No, he wasn't in the She-ra cartoon. If he were, he would have likely been toned down to make his victims simply itch or something. Definitely picking this one up.

The next two male Horde members, in importance to me, are Mantenna and then Modulok. Mosquitor is next after that, but above Dragstor and Multibot--but then that's all based on the order in which I got them and I never owned those last two. I have no doubt that Dan's professed love of Mosquitor has bumped him up in popularity a little, but he was one of the few figures to make it into the 200x staction line and that helped too.

All references to blood would be gone. Instead the characters would probably have glowed as he drained their "energy" from them. I'd further guess that given the Freudianism of that nose being used to overpower female heroes, his draining powers would have been moved to his hands instead.

i never had this figure as a kid and looking at the original version, i'm really not impressed.

interested to see what the horsemen would do to classicize him though.

Never had him as a kid, but I'd snatch him up! Like others have said, I'd love to see him ooze blood in his chest. That'd be awesome.

Im wondering just how they'd pull that off myself. They said no action features but the pumping blood was the best part!

I remember being instantly attracted to the Mosquitor figure when he was originally released. I loved his colors, and the blood feature was so cool at the time. I love the Horde, and he is easily one of my favorites.

I also liked that he wasn't really used in much media and mysterious.
