They did not display Kalamarr/Slush Head with water either. I presume this one has some fill-in feature.

Not to happy with his torso... They should have gave him an entirely new longer torso with larger blood window. And if it turns out that his chest piece is just a red piece of plastic and not fillable with liquid... then he's a 50% fail.

exactly if the chest is red is because we will not be able to fill it, just like the mosquitor 200x, the window should not have any color and just should fill it with red ink!

He looks cool, but I think his head could have been a bit bulkier. It looks a bit small on his frame. Though on the other hand that may be the general idea, to make him look less human.

I think he is a cool figure but he should come with more accessories. One gun is not enough.

All the hype created for this translucent red plastic ?

Mind you, I like the figure. But all this "Spector Hides Mosquitor's Torso" hype has turned into an epic fail !!

After seeing all the pics available, I must say I'm disappointed with this figure now, he just looks unfinished to me. They easily could've treated him like Stinkor, but no, they wanted him to look more vintage!

It's funny to see Pixel Dan glorifying his beloved figure (And honestly I'm happy for him) yet, he was always iffy about Webstor (Which IMO turned out to be better in the end).

I would have preferred if he had come with Buzz-Off's wings in black or purple instead of the insect appendages (which btw u can hardly see from the front). He is after all based off of a Mosquito.. a mosquito should have wings!!

This is a prime example where they should have sacrificed the ab crunch and made a newly sculpted upper torso with a large blood window that is fillable like Slush Head's dome. They totally cheaped out on Mosquitor regardless of the newly tooled pieces he did get.

I think he came out pretty much perfect. I like his red chest piece - it looks as if you can see his organs.

Why does the blood chamber have a completely different shape from the vintage figure?

I'm pretty happy, but I wish the red wasn't over the whole thing. I wish the top was sort of clear so it looked like there was a line where the top of the blood sloshing around was. But I'm happy with this.

Is there any clarification yet as to whether or not this is what the final product will look like, a red transparent piece of plastic representing a blood-filled belly??? This might be a work in progress figure... has anyone at SDCC asked if it will be fillable?? Or has TG himself mentioned anything about Mosquitor??

I presume we'll get all the answers in the (eagerly awaited) Pixel Dan walkthrough video.

    From Pixel Dan's twitter

Mosquitor 's chest can't hold liquid. Its sculpted clear red. Cornboy said they tried liquid & couldn't find a good way to make it work.

They should have vac metalized his blood as a second option.

Vacmetal Blood sounds like a GREAT band name. Time to find some tiny band equipment...

Not to be a worrier... But does it seem like Mosquitor suffers from the Hssss reversed shoulders? Look at this pic of Dan holding from Toy Ark...

    MOTUC-2012-2013-029_1342211572.jpg

Now that could be because it is a sample, or my eyes playing tricks... But it looks reversed to me, and I doubt that this was a hard copy proto and not a production sample (what with the play Scott put it through in the teaser pics).

Can someone confirm that the shoulders were correct on the sample?

I can't tell from the pic... but I would not be the least bit surprised. It may not matter since it looks like the bicep piece is a new sculpt... It might not matter if the shoulders are on wrong... Good question.

Well, I am sure it will be a "design choice" if they are indeed wrong.

    "Pretty cool, huh?"
