New Classics Custom sales ads

I wanted to try my hand at a few of the ads that used to be out, which I know everyone remembers, and I wanted to start with the new 2012 figures that I own.

Starting with Sorceress & Fisto....I plan to make Shadow Weaver and Khan one, then TPHM & Draego.

I hope you guys like, it took a while to do, but I am happy with the end results.

Some of the pics I used for the ads came from, Poe Ghostal, It's All True & The Fwoosh ....it's hard to find good full size pics of these things, thanks for the reviews that made the pics possible.

Thanks, I tried to stay true to the original ads when I did these, same fonts and all. It took me a little while on these 2, but it's stuff like this I love to do.

And I do plan on making more for all the 2012 figures I buy, and possibly a few outside of what I get, like I may do Photog eventually. But as I said I will be trying to do Shadow Weaver, Khan, TPHM, Draego & Stinkor. It will likely be a few days before I get to do more, but I do plan on it. And I may go back and do a few of the older ones that I have that didn't have the opportunity to get them as well, like Demo, BP She-Ra & BGEL....etc...

But I do like doing this kind of stuff with computers as well as playing with websites.

And I am glad you guys like them, again thanks.

I would love to see more of these! I can't afford to buy many figures, but I have all the toyfare ads printed, laminated, and lining my classroom. I'd love to add some new ones (Fisto, Stinkor, SW, Clawful, Leech, MEF, SyKlone, Wundar, and King Hsss come to mind!) Your text copy even sounds spot on, so good writing in addition to good artwork!

The text is from the Matty descriptions, but the headers are mine....it takes a while to come up with one.

I am still going to make MEF & BP She-Ra, Swiftwind will be later, but I may do more like Leech and a few more. I also have to do TP He-Man & Draego-Man as well.

I will be doing a few more as soon as I can get good poses of them to use... I have MEF & BP She-Ra in the works now, and will be doing TPHM & Drago, as soon as I can find the pics I want to use of them.

And Stinkor will be on the list too, as soon as I can find good pics of him as well.

Yeah I thought of that after I did the Evil-Lyn and Khan ones....I may revisit Fisto soon to change that, since now I have the cutouts to use now for the inset frames, which I didn't come up with until BGEL.

The hardest parts are finding backgrounds & figure pics, making the inset cutout art, and making the header catch phrases....making the figure cutouts & final design is cake.

I now have an ad master (I call it) which makes things much faster (duh, finally after making the 3rd one it occurred to me, save one half way through as a master) once I get the elements together, so actually free time & finding pics depending, I can make quite a few in a short time.

I love doing this kind of stuff on computer, I make all of my own album covers for my band projects as well, and have done so for the last 10 years. I actually like these toy ads, it takes me back to my childhood when I used to look through sales papers, and magazines....so I finally decided to make my own since Mattel abandoned them way back. I wanted to make them because I am trying my hand at a MOTUC database website, and I am hunting for all kinds of pics, info and artwork MOTUC related.

Oh, I am VERY pleased! LOVE all of his ads! Just stating my preference on Stinkor So glad to see them, especially since ToyFare cancelled their magazine
