I saw that on poe's site. Thought I recognized that draego pic.

It would more respectful to contact the people who originally took the pictures of the figures for permission prior to making these public, especially since you have removed watermarks and replaced them with your own, and have not given credit or direction back to the original source.

Most times I find the pics in searches and don't know who took them, and for the others, honestly I didn't think anyone would have minded seeing as how it's all a big fan base here, it's not like I am selling them, or anything, and I did note that the Thunder Punch He-Man was the only pic that was mine. I will add a list in the first post, but as I said not all I know or remember where I got them from.

I always tell someone when they ask about the pics or the description content, that I took that from Matty, and the pics are not mine, except TP He-Man, that is mine because I couldn't find any pics of him big enough. I tried to do these ads for the love of the figures, not to disrespect anyone, and I just thought they'd be appreciated for the content as a whole. The only reason I even posted the ads, is because people liked seeing them back when, and I had some free time, and I worked on these....I really didn't think it would be a big issue, seeing as it's just fan art, and I am just doing them as a tribute to MOTUC. I never took credit for the pics but one, or the content in the descriptions. It's just fan art, and I wanted a legitimate looking ad that could have been real, I added my watermark to assure that the art was not taken and used in anyway that it would loose the credit for anyone involved in the making of it.

For one, if anyone goes to Fwoosh, they know it's that pic, I know it's not MOTUC exclusively like the ORG is here.

I do thank Fwoosh and the other couple sites for pics I used, Those pics are awesome and well taken, which is why I opted to use them, that and the fact I don't have a loose collection, or all of the figures.

You are absolutely correct, we are all MOTU fans here and I personally think these ads are fantastic, and very enjoyable. I have a lot of friends that are artists and designers and it can be very distressing when something that they created is used without good intentions and with ambiguity to the creation itself. These are obviously not in that vein, but our site gets occasional hate mail from people because ebay "scalper" auctions and online store fronts use our pictures to advertise their sale items so people immediately draw the 1:1 connection and think we are affiliated with them. It can put you on edge to be sure. That is why I agree with you in spirit on this point:

but since some marks were removed in lieu of others, it seems like one work is sacrificed for the protection of the other. I would not want your ads to end up in a publication or website without crediting you for the good work. Or in a way that misrepresents your intention. Most of the time, it is used for good things for fans, but sometimes you end up on a scalper auction. Fan art or professional.

I certainly do not want to take this thread too far off-topic because, as I said, I find the ads to be enjoyable. We are all fans to be sure so good will is always given and certainly appreciated!

i would like to see the original She-Ra done with the other head the Filmation one. Also the Goddess didn't get an ad originally.

Yes, The Goddess is one I will work on, and I have the base for Wun-Dar done, I just have to get time to finish it, and then on to the next in line.

I have done the Wun-Dar & Goddess, but I have to get time to put a few final touches on them, and as I get more cutouts done, I will make more, my time at home is a little less for doing these, but I am still working on them.

I just realized that Rammy's legs are backwards....maybe I will use the new Matty pic to remedy that and redo the ad.
I'm also going to redo the text to reflect the figure a little, so just think of this as a concept ad.

EDIT....fixed and replaced the old ad with the new one above, I like it much better.

I look to have some more soon, as I opened most of my figures, I now have access to the ability to take good pics, although I still don't have all the figures, so those I don't have will still take time.
