Really enjoyed the episode. Always like it when Toyguru comes on. I feel he comes across better, verbally. More importantly learned some new stuff. I do really want to hear more about his feelings towards the Thundercats and what he would have done with the line.

Did wince when you cut yourself though Val. Is this the first Gooble podcast with that many beeps?!

Well I wouldn't use a straight Razor to shave any hair off my hand, those are very sharp and too much risk of injury. I would suggest a disposable Razor for doing that val. Lots of great Disposable Razors on the market that they sell in packs of four for around $9.00

Good episode. I like when Scott comes on and answers questions.

We should all have those little tiny hairs on the backs of our hands. Well, I guess most Caucasians do anyway.

Thanks for asking my question, Val. And it's extra awesome that Scott revealed Nocturna for 2015. But couldn't you have asked about Spinwit? And for the record, yes, Sailor Uranus is a character from Sailor Moon. She's an awesome kick-ass lesbian. She's the Blond one in the back.

I also liked hearing some teasers about the fate of the Sorceress... sounds like she will end up living on as a Spirit of sorts (Most likely COSMIC SPIRIT SORCERESS from the New Adventures era (name made up by me)).

Scott began to mention something about Return of The Jedi when talking about the death of the Sorceress, so I presume he was refering to sprit of Obi-Wan (or maybe Anakin and Yoda) in reference to them continuing to exist after death.

One thing though, I did come to this conclusion a while ago, and even posted somewhere that it never actually said Sorceress died (It just said she was "overcome by poison" in her bio (from memory)...but I had to retract that when I got the new mini-comic, as it does mention her "death" on the first page there.... but still, good to hear she will carry on....wouldn't have made much sense Teela being New Adventures Sorceress when we already have a New Adventures Teela variant as a possibility now with Jetlag rights!

I listened to the episode today at work. Another excellent episode!

Regarding employees at Mattel shuffling around frequently....... I for one hope Scott stays on MOTUC for the line's entire run. Things haven't always been absolutely perfect, but MOTUC has been an incredible line & I hope TG stays on board for as long as this MOTUC ride lasts.

I'm curious about what Scott had to say about how they selected the contest winner. I knew from the start that any suggested bios wouldn't be a factor, but I hope the judges didn't make their pick based on the drawings alone, which is kind of what it sounded like. I can't draw very well, but I entered multiple times because this wasn't supposed to be an art contest, and I assumed that Mattel & the 4H would put their own spin on the winning concept. I always included at least a few lines of explanatory text with each entry (since it is difficult for me to convey everything visually) but now I wonder how much of that was even read, and I'm not sure how many of my designs make sense out of context. I wish I could just fast-forward the next few months because the suspense is killing me.

Was the explanatory text a bio or just describing features you felt you couldn't realize well enough with the art? I'm thinking if it was the latter it was probably included. I don't think it's supposed to be the art, just the concept itself.

Kind of both. I always included a list of shared parts and pointed out new parts. I also included possible bios for most of my entries, but then either above or below that I had notes on functions or colors, or I explained various features that might not be immediately apparent. For example, if you just saw a drawing of Sy-Klone, how would you know that his chest design was supposed to be a lenticular sticker? I certainly can't draw that effect. That's just a random example, but most of my entries rely somewhat on the accompanying text since I'm not a very good artist. I just hope that I was able to successfully convey my concepts despite my art.

Great episode, it's always great Gooble when Scott or Eric are on the show.

Nocturna coming in 2015! He's my least favourite GG but I'm still glad to hear confirmation all the GG are on the road map

I would love to get a coffee table book of the 4HM 200x sketches and photos of the 2-ups. Especially pictures of characters that never got released like we got to see a sketch Dragstor and the 2-up of Horde Busta He-Man at Power Con last year. Just one thing please don't make it a con exclusive like the last artbook which I wasn't able to get and probably never will now with the price it goes for.
Scott also said they actually sculpted a Kulatak. We saw a Kulatak sketch at SDCC one year but I believe this is the first we've heard about a sculpt. I really hope we get to see that one day. Can you guys ask Eric about it next time he's on the show please? Or even ask if they could bring it to Power Con for us all to see?

You guys are right about the Thor movie. Before it came out everyone was thinking how the hell are they going to pull this one off. But when it came out most people loved it.

I'm sure if you had a simple bullet point list saying things like (using the Sy-Klone example)
    • Lenticular sticker on chest

    Then you accomplished your goal.

Of course, we never talk about them. Fun to say, though.

I can't remember if they finished the sculpt or not. I remember seeing parts of it. It had this feature where it would reach back, grab a ice blade (or something like that) then fling it forward. That was the idea anyway from what I recall. We can always ask more info next time Eric is on the show.

The podcast was very cool, but I'm not sure about the quality thing:

I got a LEGO 6039 set yesterday from 1988 and it looked like brand new. I have older LEGO figures from 1982 and they also look, like they were bought today.

I know, that it is another kind of plastic, but the precision of those figures and bricks and the durability of the materials even after 30 years leave MOTU far behind.

Am I the only person, who wonders, why MOTUC figures have so many production problems, made by a company, which is the largest toy company and make plastic toys for decades?

The "world's largest toy company" moniker doesn't apply for MOTUC, which doesn't get those resources since it isn't Barbie, Hot Wheels or Fisher Price.

After careful thought and pondering long and hard, Zerker, I would have to say...yes. You are the only one.

That would mean, that current figures of smaller lines are made of cheaper materials and with less professionalism.

Good to hear that Filmation Hordak is a strong possibility, but not that happy to know that it's head would not be considered to be updated.

Filmation Hordak is not just a straight repaint from the original Hordak toy. He must be different in the use of some parts (though all shared with previous characters) and the head must be of a more mechanical Hordak. I'll start a thread to discuss this in light of these new coments and maybe with a poll. What do you guys say?

I really hope so and he wasn't sliding towards that OMINOUS word.... CLONES!!! (I know it wasn't really mentioned in Jedi but you knew it was there just cause of the Emperor..)

All in all THANK THE COSMOS for an NEW GOOBLE! Was off today picking up my Matty shipment (All figures were ok and finally got my Orkos') and had a Gooble to listen to..... WINNING!!!

Judging by the TIME-line () of events I am glad Scott has announced a more reinforced push behind the line, but I think was before the "STINKGATE 2012" going on right now. But with his explanation of his position on the totem pole I'm sure that he will change it a little more and attempt to get on top of those who seem to make decisions on their own; just haven't bought the we really meant to do that but hey, it's done and if it gets you through this barrage great! Just really hope that this doesn't happen again...

It was great having him cause amid all the other controversies, the guy is truly in this for the long haul even when he made it seem like he would possibly move on at some point. He really has championed the cause taking a bullet and slipping here and there but for what it's worth I'm still satisfied for the most part and will already sign up for next year's sub!!!

Glad to hear the gang back together and can't wait for another serving! Am really trying to make this PoweCon thing happen albeit the NYCC is right around the corner but I am really in DEEP consider mode!
