Mattel spares no detail when it comes to Vintage MOTU characters. They WILL be spot on.

Um... you're joking right?! He said both comments 48 seconds apart from each other (I timed it!!). How could he gather "more information" in that short time??!

First he doesn't know. Then (48 seconds later) he knows?

When Scott said he didnīt know what happened with Stay Puft, I took it as meaning that he didnīt know why the paint reacted badly with the foam. He said that they had tested it before and that it passed all the tests, but still reacted in an unexpected way in the end. I donīt think he was trying to be roundabout or anything. I think when he said he didnīt know what happend, he was basically trying to say that he didnīt know WHY it happnened as it sounds like nobody knows why it reacted badly, just that it did.

I hope she comes back more powerful than ever and gets to put Hsss down forever, or is at least instrumental in it.
Works for me! Anything to undo the terrible way she was killed off is a good thing (i'm not opposed to her dying, I just don't like how it happened).

Although personally i'd swap her 200X and Filmation looks around, as I see the events in MYP's cartoon as a sort of prequel to the Filmation series.

Yes, fair enough if that's how it played out! My only problem with that theory is that he hadn't even put forth the "paint reacting badly with the foam" theory yet. We assume he was going to get there eventually. If - and this is my main point - if you go back and listen to the podcast, it really wasn't until Eamon pushed him (by using that awesome analogy of the late bus/train) that Scott finally cracked and told us why. It seemed as if Scott had "put it to bed" but Eamon just wouldn't let it go, so Scott finally told us the reason after that.

Which all goes back to my actual point... that Eamon should be congratulated for not giving up, and pushing Scott for answers. Anyone who has listened to the RGD's for the past few months will know he's been like a dog with a bone about this issue. And I'm glad something's finally been answered. Finally!

My favorite part of this podcast was the reaction to Scott's mention of the line going 3 3/4. I liked the in-unison "ugh, no, no, ewww" from Danielle, Val, and Dan -- and then the slightly delayed "Nooooo" from Eamon.

That I agree with! I'm a huge Dragstor fan, and the more original parts he gets, the better! I'd love this figure to blow me away with its awesome new sculpting!
I just wanted to show that Dragstor could be done through recycling several parts, if they didn't have any other choice. If that was necessary to get him released, I'd accept it. He didn't get any exposure since the 80s, and I just want him so much!

His legs and arms were definitely proportional and "fat" like the vintage figure.

Sounds good - will listen to it over the weekend. Great news about Nocturna! I take it more popular guardians like Tuskador, Artilla and Hydron will make it before him.

Scott says he didnīt say the Sorceress is dead, but in the comic it says: "The Sorceress of Grayskull is dead, replaced by..." on the first side?

well if she isn't dead but is presumed so by the major characters, most times it works better when the reader presumes it too.

Death doesn't mean she's gone. She could still exist in spirit form, guide Teela and He-Man when needed. Or comeback in a different way later. Scott did say Superman died.

I really got the impression that Scott didnt know if he should/could release the info and then caved with the pressure, you have to understand that he has higher ups that dictate what he says, he even mentioned sending his figure blogs to be reviewed before they are posted. I think he was being cautious.

Great Episode. I especially like the ones with Toyguru and Eric from 4H. As a fan of Motu, I feel very fortunate to have passionate people like this running the line and I hope they stay on for the duration. I also collect Transformers and some Star Wars and I can tell you those properties don't give the fans the interaction we get as Motu fans.

I've listened to ep 70 through 84 and I plan on going back to 1 and listen to all of them. But I was wondering if there are any episodes that stick out as special for some? perhaps a special guest or a memorable discussion?

Well I wouldn't disagree with, to some point here with this statement I'm just putting it out there that he does have to decide how much and how far he can say things without any recourse from his bosses. I mean if you work somewhere where there are confidential subject matter or issues that if released can discredit or damage the whole, you do have to choose words wisely even if YOU believe they should be explained or told. Trust me, I am not an apologist for **** going wrong, but you do sometimes have to present the answers in a format which doesn't cost you your job and hopefully brings some amount or resolve to those expecting them. And listening to the episode he does explain how he handles certain aspects of the 'team' and there are things he isn't a GURU of; I mean he's originally a copy editor, not a sculptor, engineer, painter, etc...
And always props to the E-mon for putting it out there in a PROFESSIONAL way rather than a rant or totally hostile manner!

I don't agree with Kit Kat's objection about Scott's answer to her question! I thought it was an awesome answer, and Kit Kat (who didn't even thank Scott for being on the show, I noticed) might want to finally register on the boards to further elaborate on her views.
