Now look at all these beautiful costumes! They sure were an eyecatcher on last years Grayskull Convention.
Think you can do even better?

    Proof it!

"Just like you remember it" from last year, we are holding a cosplay contest again, and an expert jury will pick two lucky winners. We will promote "most accurate costume" and "most creative/fun costume". And of course there are cool prizes to win! So what are you waiting for? :-)

If I can catch the last run of SDCC tickets, I will come... but it's really difficult this year...

But for sure, I will come at the Grayskull con! This year, I will participate to the Cosplay Contest I'm already working on my costume.

I just announced and translated your description of the event in full french and posted on the following boards:

Awesome! Thanks for translating and reposting!

    Travel Information:

For our international friends arriving by plane, train or bus:
The nearest airport to the convention is Cologne/Bonn. However, if you are coming from abroad, you might want to check flying in to Frankfurt airport, as that is usually around 150 to 200 Dollars cheaper.
From Cologne/Bonn airport take the train to Gummersbach (7.10 Euros) and in Gummersbach, jump on a bus to Bergneustadt (2.60 Euros). The bus departs every 20 minutes, and once the hour a bus goes directly to the location.

And for those lucky folks arriving by car: Thereīs a huge parking lot next to the convention location

On a sidenote: Weīre still in talks and trying to figure out how it all works financial-wise, but there MIGHT be a surprise guest at the convention

    New week - New guest!

To keep the Grayskull convention as colorful and varied as possible, we try to offer as many versatile events as possible. And that's why we did't hesitate for long when our friends from Buddelfisch inquired whether it would be possible if we work together at the convention... But let Sebastian speak for himself:

    Hi,

my name is Sebastian Kempke, I grew up at the shores of the baltic sea and while doing that I fought endless battles with my "Masters of the Universe". I loved the epic fantasy in the german audiobooks, the breathtaking battles and the valiant speeches, but also the darker aspects that sometimes crept into the plots – as simple as they were. The adventures of "The Masters" did really get my imagination going and I'm sure they played a crucial role in my passion for action figures (about which I write in blogform from time to time and which I sell to comic shops in my dayjob). I also love working on my own stories as a comic book artist and sometimes as a writer. At my little studio I do illustrations for comics, metal albums and adventure games.

At this year's Grayskull Con you can meet me at september 1st and I'll be glad to draw something neat for you. As a special treat I'll bring a Con-exclusive Minicomic, which you can get for little money as a special souvenir. The comic will be written by my brother Matt, who is an adventure-game designer at Deadalic Games. You can check out his last indie-game on the official website. Hope to see you at Grayskull Con in september!

Find some of my comics here:
    http://online.buddelfisch.de/sturmboje/
find some of Matt's games here:
    http://lassiegames.com/stitch/news/

P.S.: My favorite characters are Zodac, Hordak and Trap Jaw, let's see if we can fit them into the comic

    Yay for Val!

Val Staples is the president of MVCreations, the company that brought us the 200x comics, and is also the owner of the worldīs largest website dedicated to MOTU: he-man.org. Furthermore heīs a renowned comic book colorist and the driving force behind the US based Power-Con, as well as the Roast Gooble Dinner, he-man.orgs very own podcast dedicated to all things MOTU (and occasionally everything else)
Things to expect from Val: Panels for MVCreations comics and digital coloring, Roast Gooble Dinner live-recordings with fans, limited Artprints for sale and if you bring black/white drawings, he will put some color on them (for a small fee to help paying for his flight tickets).

Looking forward to meeting you in Germany!

No big additional news for today, but a little goodie - just for fun

Grand Prix of Eternia! Bring your Spydor, Dragonwalker, Road Ripper or Attak Trak and one vintage pilot, and be prepared for this battle for speed and dust and pit babes...
Please note: This is a fun-event. However, if you feel to tune and adjust the speed of your vintage vehicles, by all means, do it!

You can always book a shared room at the convention (and that also includes full catering), or if you want to bring your own tent, you can book a spot at the locations own camping ground (and that includes full catering as well!)

If shared rooms arenīt your style, there are several hotels in the close vicinity. Weīll be happy to assist!

Goodie-Bags... yes - but how much?

Houston, we have a problem. Last years goodie bags were such a great success with you fans that weīve been asked if we will offer these bags this year again. Indeed we did plan so and we already filled the bags with tons of awesome stuff, but we still have more ideas for even more stuff to put in. But where to stop?
Thatīs why we ask you: How much would you like to have?
    Weīll offer 3 options:
    10 Euros, 15 Euros and 20 Euros.
Each Goodie Bag will be stuffed with cool things, vouchers, coupons for the convention and lots more. The higher the price, the more stuff for you!
    Let us know!

Oh, and just like last year the Goodie Bags will be limited quantities again, this year there will be 30 bags (It is the 30th anniversary after all).

Let us know what you think!

We cannot promise, but if you want to make sure you get a goodie bag, you can always pre-order one via email: he-man-conventions@gmx.de
But please give us one or two more days to finalize our plans, the content and the pricetag. Weīll announce all the details within the next few days!

    Until then:

We received word from Mattel that the Temple of Darkness Sorceress figure wonīt be available before July 15th. And we thought there is no real reason for us to just wait 2 weeks without doing anything, so we decided to extend the preorder deadline to July 12th to give you fans some more time. Maybe youīre still on the fence, maybe you are still trying to save up enough money or maybe youīve just been waiting for a chance to stack up your order. So here we go!

Please keep in mind that we will NOT have additional stocks, or "day of sale" stocks. So if you want this figure, you need to preorder!

Looking forward to meeting all of you soon at the show!
