Im filling mine! not sure what with yet.
Will you be filling your Slushhead's dome with water or some other liquid when he arrives? Or will you leave it empty for fear of leaks or other reasons.
I ended up going with distilled water dyed a light greenish brown to look like swamp water.
Looks awesome.

I may just be a Gay Pop fan...but I am also the one who wants ALL of the Figures, who wants this line to continue and who is putting my money where my mouth is....are you doing the same?
THE LINK BELOW IS THE TIME THE NEXT MOTUC FIGURE GO'S ON SALE!

No, in fear of it having an effect on the paint. I'll keep a watch out though...to see the luck others are having with filling theirs. The Hand Gel sounds like it may be a winner.
i was thinking aloe vera gel, not sure i'll do it, but good idea testing a spare head, I'll use the TG palace guard head since I have no use for it. a secondary fear would be permantently frosting the transparent dome

I've got everything that I need, right in front of me! Life's a happy song people!
Fear is faith in failure
Nope i'm really not a NA fan. I couldn't stand that cartoon so my slush-head was sold the day they showed him. Selling to a fellow collector for my cost plus shipping to him.
My Slush head's dome will remain empty, although I may throw some water in there when I first get him just to see what it looks like. I don't feel the need to have it filled all the time though.
Water is cool for me. Im afraid that alcohol from hands gel could damage paint, but could be a good choice.

Ask not for whom MOTUC is made, it's made for thee.
Not at all... I don't trust Mattel's recent translucent/transparent plastic Technology and I fear the inevitable "cracked Slushhead dome" thread that will show up in mid-May... Also putting Liquid on Slush-head means that he and Moss Man should be as far away as possible!
Toyguru, read this: The Rebellion needs Glimmer!! I NEED Glimmer!! Pretty Please?
I may eventually buy a second "stunt" SH to fill.
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

No filling, he's perfect as he is.
Last important characters: Two Bad, Tung Lashor, Squeeze, Modulok, Horde Trooper
I fear that water might leave calcium rings on the dome. I did the same with a GI Joe Secto-Viper when I was a kid.
I'm very curious to see the results of the gel. I might buy an extra one so I can experiment first.
Possibly, but I'll probably do some tests of different things before. I was thinking the fake water stuff you can get for model trains might be cool. But I'd need to experiment to see how that actually looks.
I think I'll leave mine empty. I can't wait to get him though, he looks really cool. For not being a NA fan, they sure are doing an excellent job on the space mutants so far.
One of the true fan minority - happy MOTU fans!

I'll be glad if he arrives with his dome uncracked ... not a chance that I'm going to tamper with that thing.

Nope I'm good as is plus I don't want to potentially have water spill out when I am moving things around
I want NA Skeletor and Rio Blast and I want them now!

Alexx has a blog?! Come on in and check out Toys and Tomfoolery! You won't regret it...until the next morning.
I will probably fill it up, but not sure what I will use yet. I will probably wait and see what others have done to see what looks best.
MOST WANTED: Two-Bad, Ice Armor He-Man, Hydron, Flogg, Horde Trooper,
NA Skeletor, Ninjor, Sagitar, Master Sebrian, and Rio Blast

I hated NA, but Slush-head will be my first NA buy - he's very unique.
Water would look cool because of how it would magnify & distort his face. But it'll probably wreck the figure somehow (limescale, or something - perhaps use mineral water?).
The sanitiser gel sounds like a good idea - hopefully the alcohol won't destroy the paint...
I want to fill the dome, but... well, you know how Mattel products are.

How about using K-Y Jelly (no jokes please)? It's viscous and water soluble.
I will be leaving mine as is. With Mattel's track record of translucent material, and now that their paint reacts to different chemicals, I don't want to ruin a figure just to POP on the shelf.

For summer - blue dyed water and a tiny rubber ring bobbing about.
In time for Christmas - and with some sealant at the neck area - water and plastic snowflakes.
Actually, I thought maybe a plastics-safe silicone-based lubricant might work too. It's just so hard to know. Even if something is pretty non-reactive, it seems like it'd be hard to tell in the long term. It would be awesome to know what was in the classic slushhead. It's some kind of gel and it's held up well and not eaten away the paint.
I'm not planning on using anything in the dome, but I do think the idea of hand sanitizer and KY Jelly *snicker*are both really good ideas. It'll be interesting to see how these, and other options, work out. I too am going to play it safe, as I just don't have enough confidence that the figure won't leak or be damaged.
