Slush Head's Dome Discussion

Nope, I'm leaving it empty. I never got into NA as a kid, so I never had this figure (or any NA figures), and I have no real nostalgia for wanting to actually see water (or something that looks like water) inside the dome. I'm sure it will look fine as is. And while I would still feel this way even if I knew for a 110% fact that the dome wouldn't leak and that it could be filled without having any kind of adverse effect on the head or paint job in any way, the recent QC issues with some figures in the line make the idea of doing this even less desirable.

It depends on how air tight his helmet is. I saw some slime at target in the party section. I was thinking of getting the blue one and putting it in the helmet.

Distilled water would probably be better. But to answer the question: no, won't do it, as Slush Head will stay MOC.

Not filling it. I don't want anything to happen to the figure. Like others on the boards I don't trust Mattel to get this right.

I'll probably fill it up once to see how it looks, but I'm not going to keep that way because I, like others, don't trust Mattel to do anything right.

Nope...With all of Mattel's bad Quality Control, I don't trust putting water in the dome. I guarantee it will take the paint off the head.

Probably going to put SmartWater in the dome... Slushhead could definitely use it.

I agree. It would probably look good for a while, unitl I left the room then it would mix with the chemicals in the figure and probably crack the dome and turn green and stain the carpet and make the dog sick or something, so no, no water in mine.

See i feel this way too, but I know temptation will get a hold of me to do it anyway. I won't leave it long.

Thats my fear, I'll wait til I can feel what kind of plastic the dome is made of, If its the same 'Solid' stuff that some Clear containers are made out of, any kind of acidic gel could 'melt' the inside of it over time.

Seriously though, how about glycerin? Or glycerin mixed with water, like a snow globe.

Filling mine with Self-Leveling Clear Gel Medium by golden. It shouldn't hurt the paint, yet look like water when it sets.

I just don't like the idea of putting any time of liquid in my action figure. I would rather just leave it alone. Although using clear gels is a good idea. I look forward to seeing pictures.

I'm gonna try Paraffin. It's as clear as water and thick enough that it shouldn't leak. And if it does, then i'll empty his dome. It shouldn't affect pain app either.
