Sub and 30th Sub May charge already

my card was charged for my May sub and 30th sub. DR using different name this turn, anyone else?

It's way too early to charge anyones card in april for mays subscriptions. They can only do that 5 calendar days before sale day. They have to send out subscription renewals first.

May MOTUC Subscription Key Dates

Here are the important dates to note for May 2012: Your card will be charged 5 calendar days before the on-sale date, so plan to have funds available before Thursday, May 10th. Subscription orders will begin shipping approximately Friday, May 11th, 2012, about two business days before the on-sale date. These dates apply to Club Eternia®, DC Universe Club Infinite Earths, and MOTU 30th Anniversary Series.

Again, if you need to change your billing information, shipping address, or email address please call 1-877-GO-MATTY by May 6th. And if for any reason your subscription has been cancelled, please call to get reinstated and you'll receive the May figure(s).

Remember, the sale starts Tuesday, May 15th at 9 a.m. PT (12 noon ET).

It may be a pre-authorization, but it's still a problem if someone isn't expecting it right now and it ties up money on their card.

just checked with card center. it is a fraud. named DRI*Sales Envision Dev

be careful everyone. not sure why this happened.

transactions were from digital river, but they were not matty sub charges.

I believe it's a per-authorization.
I just went to my order history page at Mattycollector.com, and scrolled down the page until the first order I made in 2008, just underneath it; there it was an order labeled "order unsubmitted" dated April 15th 2012 for $73.85 for Stinkor, Slushhead and The Mighty Spector... Then I went to my credit card bank's site, and there was nothing charged!
I don't know if they were suppose to per-authorize the charge that early or not, but I'm keeping my eye on it... If any suspicious charges occur, I'll have to cancel my card and subsequently my sub, however I hope that won't be the case though...

Did you ever provide any Digital River reps with your card/account information? If so, and you have a record of the name of the rep, it might be a place to start in terms of trying to get some accountability from DR, Mattel, or whomever (I realize the probability of success woud be pretty low, but it might be better than nothing). If not, it raises even more serious concerns about DR employees' ability to access confidential information without customers even having to provide it to them directly.

So what do you know? I just received three different emails from MattyCollector telling me that my card will be charged for the subscriptions in the next few days!!! Looks like each figure (Slushhead, Stinkor and TMS) got a separate email reminder...

So, you guys better check your emails and order history like I did, just to make sure things are legit...

Got the emails about an hour ago, but there's no charge yet. There is an Order Unsubmitted in my order history for the three, oddly enough from the 15th of April. There isn't an eye roll and a sigh big enough.

I normally don't get this email until about 3 days before I'm actually charged for the month's figures. Given all the issues in the past, I hope DR doesn't decide to charge people early.

I received THREE emails today saying my subscriptions were renewing. I only have 2 subs. It's really odd they sent out these renewal emails so early.

I just got 5 emails in the last hour. I only have two subs and one of those is for Voltron. I saw in the order history that one was for the Green Lion which isnt going to be released until june. One for Stinkor and one for slushhead and who knows what the other ones are for...

They must be running some kind of tests or something.

I'm fed up with the inconsistancy of this company! Why can't they do things the same way monthly and do them right? I'm sick of having to constantly guess what the **** are they going to do next month! Hope that **** isn't an infraction. If so I got my first one out of the way. Geeze!

Interesting. I just got 4 of these back-to-back.

This usually doesn't happen until the 6th or 7th of the month. Then around the 9th I get the order confirmation followed by the shipping confirmation between the 11th to 15th.

That means your card will be charged and you can look for your shipment to leave our warehouse in the next several days. We'll send a shipment confirmation email once it does so you know it's on its way.

it was not pre-authorization, it has already posted to my statement for this month. and the total amount were usual, a US$10.95 and a US$156.98 transactions. which do not make any sense for 2 subs plus 2 30th subs.

the main thing is, they are all from Digital River, just not representing Matty, but the other company.

all i can say is DR is a very unsecure company with their clients' payment information.

fact is, several months ago, i have received other subscriber's renewal and shippment information, i have notified DR, but no one do follow-up.

I opened my Orders page today after gettin a "Your Sub is renewing" email. What I found shows that DR is messing around with our accounts BIG TIME.

That's a screenshot from the unsubmitted orders that show on my account. The blue text are my notes. I have just one sub and I don't buy any extras on sale days... *** is wrong with that people! Seeing that doesn't surprise me if we get wrongly billed for an order!
