She-ra Silver custom (chromed) for sale

ok guys i love this custom and took me time to got it










i was looking for a factory where i could get little plastic things chromed and it was soo dificult to find it untill i could convince a guy to make me the job and it becomes just great

im thinking in let it go on ebay starting with the cost that i had to pay but i can hear offers to see if really worth to do it another one for me.

ebay prices of a regular she-ra in a buy it now including shipping to spain $42 + $15 of shipping ( the cheaper one)

90 minutes to go and back to the factory and i have to go and leave it there and then comeback after 10 days to pick it up
so i need 3 hours of my time plus the metro tickets 1.5 euros each trip ( total of 4 trips) = 6 €= 8.2$


So what i have to paid to get another one should be like:
She-ra 67$
Chrome 75$ (55€)
Metro: 8.5$
3 hours of my time: ???????

Wow - it cost you more than the figure and shipping to you to get it chromed! That's quite an investment. It's a shame you didn't have them make two for you - one to keep and one to sell. In any case, I'm sure you'll find a buyer, as she looks terrific and I don't think Mattel will make one like this

u can articulate her, but i dont know how much the chrome can handle it, i pose her a little only cause i do not want to risk the chrome but well who will win it on ebay will be responsible to try or not to try, i will put a video on youtube of her moving her arms and legs a little for me its like a statue in my canon ( like with a shadow weaver spell so i dont need to articulate her but u can do it, i dont know how much the chrome can resist it

of course its possible to do it, but it would be preferible to do it with one she-ra cause do all the staff just for the fist

I absolutely love her! She looks amazing. Identical to the two cake topper She-Ra's Mattel raffled off for PoP's 25th Anniversary. I wish I had spending money! This would truly be the crowning gem for anyone's MOTUC PoP collection. Best of luck with the auction! I hope she finds a good home.

sorry to dig up an old thread but i have a few questions for you DK.

did you have to take her apart before you sent her in to be chromed?
do you know if they took her apart and put her back together?
how do the joints look when you bend them? (IE: ankle, elbows, knees)
are there any burn marks or dark spots?
what setting are you using on your camera when you take pictures?

i ask some of these questions because I've been able to do this myself but to get the best results I've always had to take the figure apart in some ways. otherwise I'll get parts that aren't all the way chromed, or burn spots from overlapping, dark shadows sometimes, or even goldish/purple/silver parts.

here's an example. hordak was taken apart chromed one piece at a time then put back together, the warmonger was done as a solid piece but the joints on the inside of his arms aren't up to par with the rest of the figure.



If i may recommend it, you should try hordak next, draego-man, or perhaps palace guard armor?!?
