I really like the barbarian parts. Nice little addition to my Preternia display.
Maybe Marzo as an archenemy was the biggest thing to happen to Mekaneck, but as far as Marzo was concerned...it was Tuesday.

You wouldn't be forcing anyone to spend $90.00 If all three were in one pack we wouldn't have to buy the extra armor pieces three times. Therefore they would not have to cost $90.00 if they were in one pack.

That's my only personal problem with them. I will be forced to spend $90.00 when in a 3 pack they could have been less.

    Meh.

    I'm undecided.

In my mind there is an epic battle between a MOTU Crazed Completist and an Evil, Blinded by Nostalgia Vintage Purist™. It will be a last minute decision for me.

The "military/tank" accessories can be reused to make the "legs" for a New Adventures Skeletor figure.

You're not forced to do anything really. Stinkor comes with two heads. You aren't forced to buy two of him because you want to display two different looks.

First, I want to say I'm not going to hate on these as much as most people have. I actually believe this was THE perfect exclusive for the 30th Anniversary as it's where He-Man began. I personally was not that interested in these characters, but I think they were done in a very smart way: 1 pack for $30 so you don't have to spend $66 for a 3 pack. On the flip side, that sucks for those who want 1 of each character (would have been $24 cheaper as a three pack like the Star Sisters.

    My personal critiques:

    - Spaceman should have had a new head, not a "hat". I REALLY miss his full covering helmet.
    - Where is Tank-Top's loincloth?!
    - Three clip-on loincloths probably would have looked/worked better than clip-ons OVER a furry loincloth.

I was hoping the Monster High Exclusive would be ready but it looks like its still to be revealed, interesting that the GB figure is now the Exclusive and there is no Voltron or DC Exclusive
I think they're doing Dana as an SDCC exclusive to get the public excited and exposed to Ghostbusters again. They're probably hoping she sells very well and leads to further sales of their last GB figures. If they do well, they will make more GB figs. All speculation on my part, but I think that's where they're going.

Personally, I'm slightly ****** off she's an exclusive. I bought a sub and would have paid $20 for her (she WAS a regular figure). Then they increased the price of regular figures to $22. Now, she's $25...and doesn't even have any accessories! I really want her, but I'm pretty mad at Mattel (especially as I was going to buy two). *frowny face at Mattel*

Emiliano had a great Sorceress wing idea. Mattel didn't do it correctly. All would have been okay if Mattel let Emiliano work with them.

But man, I gotta say, I am SHOCKED at the reaction this time. It is the 30th anniversary man! We wanted to do something that went really to the root of the line and offered a figure that just didn't fit into a monthly slot usually due to parts and pack out.

Everyone around here from the Horsemen to Bill, Terry, Ruben and even management were all totally on board for this one. Yeah, they look goofy as hell, but they should! This is not a monthly sub figure. It is the SDCC exclusive. And viewed as that slot, I really stand behind the choice of Vykron. Slam dunk in my book.
I agree with Toyguru. I also find the reactions slightly hilarious. When the SDCC item is a super popular character like Queen Marlena or Orko, people freak out and say how awful and unfair that is...and yell at Mattel. The 30th Anniversary line has been blasted that it's new characters created by current Mattel talent and not something from the history of MOTU (like unmade concepts). Some people even suggested these three characters should have been part of the 30th line. Now Mattel makes them an SDCC exclusive. They are not "must have characters" like many complain SDCC items are...and they actually make them during the 30th Anniversary year!

While I would have been 100% fine without them in MOTUC, I do appreciate their significance to MOTU, their history and the 30th Anniversary. Mattel also was kind enough to do a three-in-one pack, which is good for those who aren't very excited for these guys.

I do agree this isn't the "best" MOTUC SDCC item we have ever got, but it is the PERFECT one for the 30th Anniversary. I like the Barbarian guy the best and think this set will be cool to own.

Let's hope not...because then we will never get the teen buck so many figures, including 200X Prince Adam, can use.

He meant 3 for $60/66 for a three pack like the Star Sisters.

I just miss Spaceman's original head and Tank-Top having the military loincloth. I would be right with you on the "Expandra" set though.

My apologies. I didn't realize I needed to speak like a lawyer to get my point across. I only chose the word 'forced' because that is the word used in the quote I was referring to. See above.

If I want to display all three figures on the provided buck (which I do) I will need to buy this set three times in order to do so. If it were in one pack with three of the same buck and three suits of armor I would only have to buy one pack. Does that help clarify?

Clearly the logical (and fair) thing to do would be to reissue this set as a true three-pack with three complete figures in it, later in the year.

That's personal preference. Not everyone likes all 3. Some even hate all 3.

Snap on parts on fore arms and legs are quite bulky and cheapens the figure. It does not make it look like an adult exclusive adult collector figure.
I do hope that Bobba-Man or He-Fett or Vykfett comes with the black visor. It wouldn't render Roger Sweet homage if they alter the original concept.

Something is not right if I'm more excited to get Death or Polly Pocket set.
Great trade orgers: Son of Keldor - sdilks -JeMaBo2 x3 - Kowl - Bigassbuzz (Hyveofvillany) - Queen Marlena - mikescab

No as long as they are on sale at Matty aftewards. With that in mind it do not matter is it Modulok, Ram Man or any other character.

Only sub exclusives are harder to get.

All in all they just look bad. I love my Vikor and Demo-Man figures, but these or Spector or Sir Laser-Lot I can live without.
When the design is bad it's bad, period. There's a good reason why they never released these.

Wow.. with a three pack/ single figures we would had to pay $66 for three full figures, but now we pay lot more and get buttload of accessories to throw a dumbster. Do you see the irony of it?!?!

Hate to add to the negativity, but I could not be less interested in these. I've always purchased two of the SDCC exclusives, so at least I'll save money.

They should have done two exclusives, I would have much rather they made the mini-comic He-man (Oo-lar) than this. Any variant instead of this.

yeah especially Ghostbusterw where a serious question needs answering! if one of the 4 Ghostbusters figures to be released is now an SDCC exclusive, is it being replaced with something, or (more likely) is the line cancelled altogether and to make sure the already tooled figure gets sales its now an SDCC exclusive

I can't agree with you on this Darkspector, i think this is the end for the ghostbusters line
