Easy pass for me, without regrets.
IMO this one should be the Sub Exclusive, and SW should have been the SDCC one.
To me it's the most weak SDCC eclusive, for this line.

The maddening thing about this argument is that people are assuming everyone is like them - that they want all three figures. Sure, there are some of us who want that. I don't know if we'd be in the majority.
    ?
People are arguing these are too obscure and the designs aren't great. So isn't it better to minimize the cost of this item by offering it as a single SKU? I think more people are probably likely to get one of these and swap parts than they would have a full three pack based on the feedback. Those of who want all three are probably the more hard core fans.

I think they are great. I will buy three. But the calls for a three pack after the way the Star Sisters were received and the negative flak this ONE figure is getting seems very odd to me!

Yes, Plundor or Crackers the Clown would have been better SDCC exclusives.

I understand the intention behind this exclusive.

But I can`t stand this design, there is a good reason, those figures didn`t went into production in the 80`s.

Not everything obscure and pre-MOTU is awesome...

Do you know what would have made this figure 200% better?

An extra head included in-pack, styled after a variation of He-Man, such as Alcala, 200X or Filmation, or even something that more closely resembles that of the original toy.

That way, instead of this being considered an obscure prototype figure, it would be a He-Man figure that comes with enough parts to create an approximation of the Roger Sweet designs.

    Simple.

    **yawn**

While I don't completely hate it, I'm not too excited. It's a nice set and a great way to celebrate the 30th An. but I was expecting something more like the past SDCC exclusives.

I think the set will be good for parts but quite frankly I don't like any of the designs. The tank looks stupid. The space armor version looks dumb on that buck. Too much exposed skin. Maybe on a different body it would look better. The barbarian design is pretty cool but the hat kills it.

I do though like all the weapons.

I'll be picking one up but this is definitely something I can live without.

Agreed. It's a good choice for an exclusive.

Okay I may not like or understand this release, but aren't you exaggerating a bit. You are going to stop collecting a line because you do not like a single release which is outside of the sub and that you are not being forced to buy? It's a bonus release to the line. That's it.

Did you read that ToyGuru's argument where I replied? I think that was insane to speak about $90 SDCC figures, cause three packs would never be that expensive even on Mattel standarts.
MOTUC needs:Tung Lashor, Rio-Blast and rest of the Hordes!

I've never heard of these concepts but I'm definitely getting one. I'll probably switch parts the first few weeks I have him, then display the barbarian version next to Vikor and BG Teela.

Yeah, I have to say this is the weakest idea yet. With ideas like these that keep on coming, I highly doubt I'll be supporting the line with a subscription in 2013. This is an easy skip for me. I will be getting the DCU "Death" figure, however. That looks awesome.

OH OH don't forget MY collection too! I'd be doing the same thing as him: I LOVE concept figures! Heck, it's to the point where concept figures are the only ones I bother with in Star Wars anymore.

Anyway, I gushed and freaked the heck out in my earlier post, so I'll flesh out my thoughts some more:

Barbarian Set - Fantastic! That is where the main body of the set will go. I love the look, and my head is already bubbling with ideas for him. I'll use his bio if I like it, but if I don't, I think I've got a good place for him. Very raw-looking and he'll go great in Vikor's time!

Boba Set - I'll have to find another head that'll fit the helmet, but I'm not too worried. Something'll work out. I'm going to use my extra Mo-Larr body for this one; I don't think the blue loincloth will stick out too much. I do wish the wings were a little longer and the gun had a more realistic handle, but otherwise I like the look. Now THAT is 80's! I may make him an early "Zodac" type, as in a sort of renegade that works both sides or wherever provides the most protection. I really like how it looks like he found all that stuff and kinda fixed it up.

Tank Set - OH MAN. Best idea ever. Look at that monster! Fantastic! Utterly fantastic!! This should have been in the vintage line; I don't know how this didn't make it. Anyway, I'm planning on using my extra Faker body to make a robot regardless of the bio, though I think I'd rather use a Hordak body....I just don't have an extra one of those. Oh well! This tank guy is so exciting that he'll work for me no matter what. I friggin' love it. I would have been happy enough with the tank guy alone, actually. So awesome. Just so no one is confused about my feelings for the tank guy: I will welcome that figure into my family and be proud to call him "son." We'll play catch in the field; I'll toss, he'll launch it back from his head-mounted cannon. I can teach him how to ride a bike and then I can fix said bike later when his massive tank-feet crush the bike into a twisted pile, and we'll laugh and laugh! Ahhhh....I can't wait to get my new son.
