    This is awesome!

What better way to celebrate the 30th anniversary than with the designs that Roger Sweet used to get He-Man green-lit in the first place. After Vikor & Demo-Man, these really were the genesis of MOTU. I honestly thought they were off the table and could not be made, so i'm really happy to see them become a reality. Finally!

I wish I could be as happy about the Ghostbusters offering though. I cannot believe they are asking $25 for Dana, when she is basically a statue with a waist swivel. Not cool Mattel.

Well, the best - so far as looking like himself the most.

I was wondering the same thing....looks like a GI Joe/Transformer cross over to me...not MOTU. I know it was an early prototype but there is nothing Eternian about him at all. Did he come with Marlena from Earth? And the Boba Fett helmet just screams Star Wars rip off to me. I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan and Boba Fett is one of my favorite characters but I would rather have a "classicized" real Boba Fett, not a wannabe. Just my two cents.

Interesting ideal. Yeah $90 to get all 3 is a bit steep, but it'd be easy to repurpose pretty much anyone to use those parts I would imagine... so $30 for him and $40ish to scrounge up 2 other figures.
One of the true fan minority - happy MOTU fans!

The same reason Eternia would have a cowboy and a ninja.

So we need a Vykron and a Vikor? Are you guys even thinking about this?

I'm glad these are the exclusives. I'll get one or two. Though I've lucked out with the MOTUC SDCC figures, my dealings with Hasbro and the lack of a Zarana in my Dreadnok display has left a sour taste in my mouth over the whole ritual. Going to need a bigger display place....

The bio for these should be interesting?? Is he going to be one of the other astronauts that was on the ship with Captain Glenn? Since he has the same problem as Photog and looks like he know something about the USA and watched Star Wars before he left earth?? I dont know.. Not a great reveal but I like them enough to get at least one..

Very disappointed in this. Yet another easy pass...more skips for me this year than all the other years combined.

I had been hoping that the original Alcala Jungle He-Man that debuted 30 years ago would be the exclusive in the anniversary year. The He-Man that started it all! Not this stuff nobody ever heard of back then...

This barbarian one has some good parts, but the helmet and shinpads are awful. The other two just do not appeal to me. I can't believe anyone thought this was a good idea.

I'm okay with them. No nostalgic attachment to these guys. Like others said I may only be getting one rather than 3. As an exclusive is does it's job, offers something completists want, yet passible for others.

    totally agree.

that's the spirit of the sdcc esclusive, especially for the 3oth anniversary.

that being said: what will differentiate the sdcc version than the "regular" one (or ones, maybe?)?

Yeah, the price doesn't thrill me, but I am more concerned with her being an SDCC exclusive. I wonder if she will be available on Mattycollector afterwards?

These figures for the SDCC [30th] anniversary release are a PERFECT fit!

This is seriously awesome. Vikor and Demo-Man are two of my favorites, not only because they're awesome, but I'm a sucker for concept figures. This is just fantastic. So glad they are making these, even if I gotta switch out the armor. I'll enjoy making up some new bios for these guys!! (OMG I just realized I could use the extra Faker I have with those tank parts to make a sort of robot! I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS; ALL CAPS EXPRESSES MY EXCESSIVE JOY.)
YAY! You just made me MORE excited about these figures :-)

i think the important thing to remember here is that these come from the first prototypes by Roger Sweet, when they were trying to come up with a new boys line that eventually became MOTU. So there was no idea of Eternia yet. They didn't even know they'd go the Sword and Sorecery route yet. The original concept depicted He-Man as an "every" man. He could be a military guy, a space guy, a barabrian, etc. That is what these represent.

I don't need these to be tied to any sort of Eternian continuity. I totally see these as figures of the original concepts. And personally, I love that. I'm honestly surprised more peopel don't. But, to each their own.

The worst exclusive ever: I have to pay 90$ in order to get the 3 outfits, instead of having a 3 figures-pack at 60$.

If I get 3 Vykrons in order to have the 3 outfits, Ill also obtain a lot of useless plastic pieces...

The name is awful - Vykron / Vikor... What a lack of imagination...

A lot of better ideas has been posted in the forums...

    - Eldor & Gray

    - Rock Warriors (Rokkon & Stonedar)

    - Alternative colors Modulok

    - Illumina with Sleetah

    - Filmation Hordak wit Imp in several forms

Im sorry to say this, but Im not buying this... This is the best Matty can offer in the 30th Anniversary?
    TOP 25 ITEMS - WISHLIST

I don't mind having ninjas or cowboys in MOTU but I can't be bothered about a Military guy!

Not impressed at all with these and I honestly thought it was some sort of joke when I first saw it. Admittedly, I'm not at all familiar with the original source material they are based on so these have no relevance to me. I am a completist so I would like the SDCC version for my collection but I have no contacts that will help me get this at cost so I probably will pass.

I do think this is a great example of what Comic Con exclusives should be though instead of having main characters as an exclusive (i.e. Orko and Adam or Cringer and the Queen). If you collect G.I.JOE and couldn't make it to the con, you also know what I mean (i.e. Zarana or Sgt. Slaughter).

Megaton-Man might have been a better name. Unless Vykron is somehow related to Vikor, Vykron and Vikor are pretty similar.
