In any case, I see how the previous ones would be more popular, but this new one REALLY hit a chord with me!
well, I'm happy for you, man

I can see their importance from a historical point of vue, but if it were up to me the trio would have been kept confined to that picture in the Power and Honour catalogue.

I was rather disappointed when I saw Vykron, but as a completest, I will still get all 3 pack-outs. I wish it was something more familiar though.

I really like them so I will buy 1. I then hope to find 2 He-Man bucks for cheap so I can display all 3 (without having to pay $90.00).
MOST WANTED: Two-Bad, Ice Armor He-Man, Hydron, Flogg, Horde Trooper,
NA Skeletor, Ninjor, Sagitar, Master Sebrian, and Rio Blast

it sounds like you'll need an extra vikron head to display all 3.

I'm just indifferent to this exclusive.

I fully understand what they were going for with these, and have been aware of Rodger Sweet's original concepts since reading Mastering The Universe in 2005; but all things equal, I just couldn't care less about this one.

The barbarian, soldier and space themed He-Man pitch had nothing to do with MOTU as we know it. It may have been the earliest inspiration for what eventually became Masters, but that final product was built on a lot more than Sweet's modified Big Jim.

I find all this interesting from a historical perspective, of course, but for me personally, this isn't MOTU. And even though it may have a place in history, it doesn't have a place on my shelf.

I don't dislike them, and understand the spirit in which they made. But I just don't have any interest in them one way or the other - which is a first for me with MOTUC.

Yes, I like this choice very much. I've wanted to see those 3 concept sketches make it into plastic form, though I think I would have preferred it to be a $60 3-pack instead.

I wonder if Vykron will end up being one of He-Man's time agents as a way of explaining his 3 outfits? Perhaps his barbarian outfit has him fighting during the Fighting Foe Men days, the space suit for the New Adventures conflict and the military one during the Dare years?

Most Wanted: Slave Girl, Horde Trooper, Eldor, Spinnerella, Mermista, Peekablue, Crita, Lizorr, Tyrantisaurus Rex, Battle Ram.
Most Wanted for Filmation Sub: Scorpia, Madame Razz with Broom, Lord Masque, Sea Hawk, Ileena, Granita, General Sunder, Lizard Man.

Not really disappointed, but not thrilled either. If I were to buy one, it would be the Barbarian packaged version, but since I'm not going to SDCC, I'd either have to find him on Ebay, or see if BBTS gets some, as a MOSC collector, it would have to be the Barbarian for the only look I like. But most likely it will be a pass.

I'm intrigued that this poll has stayed almost exactly even (as the top two really can be combined together as positives) so far! It's almost a 50-50 split between the people who like him and those that do not.

Still Mo-Larr (as much as I hate this guy) was a joke from the start. Plus it wasn't the only SDCC exclusives released for SDCC at that time.

The problem is that Mattel seem to have put all its hopes in the Vykron figure. People might have been less disappoited if there had been a second exclusive for the 30th Anniversary... one who would have appealed more to casual and die-hard fans... I still believe that an Oo-larr figure would have fitted the 30th Anniversary best...

Option 3 for me. The point that dreads me even more is what their part will be in the MotUC mythos...

If it wasn't for the Re-launch of Classics back it 2008, None of us would have all the amazing figures we now have on our shelves. Like already mentioned if you don't like these figures then there is no need to purchase them.
I for one will be purchasing them, as this is part of what the Classics line is all about. I actually look forward to getting my masters figures each month. I feel like a kid excited about getting his pocket money, which ironically back in the day went on buying Masters stuff.
We shouldn't be so quick to constantly moan about the line. We need to continue to support it into the future as I for one would be gutted if they pulled it.

This is coming from a guy that can find a silver lining in Spector and Sir Lazer Lot, and I usually try to keep positive, but I must admit when I woke up this morning and saw these designs, I thought it was some kind of joke. This is an easy pass for me, and it's almost borderline criminal that between QC issues and now this exclusive this is how MOTU's 30th Anniversary is being treated. I don't feel like the company that owns this property takes it seriously enough. Just my opinion. I am waiting to see what kind of rabbit they are going to pull out of their hat to sell subs now.

I like these guys, I think they're a great exclusive representing a interesting bit of toy history.

I will buy one... I may buy more, but like a lot of folks, I'm trying to figure out a way to get all three characters out of buying just one and using some extras I've already got.

so I am really confused by this poll, because it limits my options.

I don't really want one, but if the poll was, "are you happy with the choice mattel made" I would say HECK YES.

the exclusive SHOULD be one that hardcore fans want/completest want, but not necessarily for those of us who don't want to pay a poop ton on secondary markets. besides my personal complains about some of the "snap on" parts, i think the choice of CHARACTER is exactly what EVERY exclusive should be from hear on out. it should have a pigeon hole market, because its an exclusive.

that is how i feel. it falls in line with the rest for me, because I do not own Hero, KG, or crystal clear Orko. I do have a marlena.

good pick TG, as much as I have spit disappointment at you before, you did well young jedi.....

agreed. this is the problem i have with some of these, (enter snakemen) and (lazerlot), just going off of details alone on new pieces it seems that it is becoming very noticeable the figures/parts that the 4H are either told to "take more time on" or told "not a priority", or they might even just cut corners on things they dont like. cause the space man guy, his snap on stuff is just awful. the belt part, i could do a better job in half an hour with sculpty, and I am not that good at customs!... enter emiliano's thread of the characters, his belt looks a MILLION (no exaggeration) times better....

I'll buy it, but I would have preferred a character that we've actually heard of. ANYBODY else. The demons from the Masks of Power. Shakoti. One of the guys that popped out of the Obelisk of Power. Trainor or Bankor from Robot Chicken... ANYBODY.

This guy is just LAME. He's Captain Action in the MOTU world. And Captain Action STINKS.

Captain Action is awesome. I actually really like the idea of a MOTU character that can 'dress up' as different heroes.

Vykron is very cool. I'll definitely be buying 3.

I didn't have an appropriate option either....

YES !!! I LOVE IT and I WILL GET ONE !...........I don't love them, but if I can get the Barbarian version, maybe.

OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL BUY AT LEAST 3 OF THEM !............NO

Disappointed by this reveal... I would have loved something else :-( ............I am not overly disappointed, they are SDCC exclusives I can give or take.

I would have loved another option, so I picked "don't care", because I can live without them, but I do see the idea behind them.
