Warner Bros. needs to find the extended good-bye footage for inclusion in the Blu-Ray. Ideally, with the option to watch the film with or without it, and not just as a special feature.

As far as I know all of the footage of Pig Boy is in the film. He was literally only there for the one shot.

I remember when they remastered the original Star Wars trilogy. They replaced old scenes with new computer generated scenes and even added in new sequences in entirely. I'd certainly buy a Blu Ray player if they gave MOTU this same treatment!

I wish they did a comic book continuation to the movie (what exactly happened after the movie , would Skelly seek revenge etc ??) and included it as a bonus......never gonna happen though.

maybe this is a meter from warner bross to see if they do the new movie???? correct me if im wrong and they dont have the rights anymore cause i do not have any idea.... but like a true fan we NEED to buy a copy and show support to this even that when i saw it on the movie on the 80´s were not than goof as i was expecting.....

Now that the Blu-Ray is going forward, perhaps the documentary that is being developed about the making of the film can be included as a special feature instead of a separate release as originally planned.

I really want to see a special edition of this film. I also wouldn't mind seeing a few of the old FX get fixed, such as the He-Man minature (model) flying on the hoverboard, which looked awful even in 87. I still remember the audience laughing at that first shot of the model. That was a bad optical that could be easily fixed for a special edition.

i watch this movie maybe once a year since i got the dvd, and anytime i could before. i cannot remember ever noticing that scene was bad.

what we need is special features. i dont have blueray player and cannot forsee getting one in any kind of soon. but with the right additional material, i could see this as exciting beyond the joy i have of it getting a new release

Oh, well...that's too bad. It would be cool if they interviewed the guy who played Pig Boy, then. He could talk about his experience, show pictures, explain how he got the role...etc. That would be cool.

I hope they include special features on this! I read that the reason movie companies are doing more and more bare bones releases, is because they're upset the movies are "so cheap" at retail now...so they don't see the point in investing the money into special features. I think that's kind of a silly attitude, because if the movie at least has the SAME special features as the DVD, people will upgrade and get rid of their DVD (if they have Blu-Rays, that is). Anyway...I hope for special features.
