actually the old movies edited on blu-ray exclude not much additional material. companies only spend the money for the remastering and no more.

Has anybody found this at a brick & mortar store yet? What price are they asking for it?

Just got my copy yesterday from Amazon. Great picture quality in parts. Gwildor and Evil-Lyn were more luminous. Glad this finally got Blu-Ray treatment, but the lack of new extras was disappointing.

I found it at a local Best Buy today for $13.99. They only had 3 copies of it and it wasn't with the new releases. It is too bad they couldn't at least include the alternate (extended) ending as an extra.

Best Buy was also the store I had gone to, this past Tuesday for the MOTU movie. Similar like what FireFly said, there was 3 copies of the movie as well, along with the one I purchased, and are priced at $13.99 too. The movie was kinda hidden when I looked for it at the store. It was not like it was right in front and noticeable. A little bit of searching had to be done.

Thrashor is insulted by the lameness of the original film.

The Blu-Ray has nothing different from the dvd other than the HD Transfer of the film. He-man rocks on Blu-ray! Now I need the 2002 He-man cartoon on Blu-ray! Come on Mill Creek!

Haven't been on the forum for a while but thought I'd put in my two cents worth regarding the blu-ray.

Audio-wise, the blu-ray sounds great thanks to the lossless track.

As for the video... Well, unfortunately, despite sharp details, I feel the image has been badly mastered. Colours have been incorrectly timed, an unnatural green tinge permeates the image most of the time, and there's issues with contrast and black levels.

Here are some DVD & Blu-ray comparison pics that showcase the issues I mentioned.

In the above comparison, the colour on the blu-ray is really dull and lacking in vibrancy compared to the DVD.

In the above comparison, the blu-ray image has off-colours and the green tinge I mentioned, whereas everything looks normal and more natural on the DVD.

In the above comaprison, the lovely vibrant blue hue as seen on the DVD is no longer vibrant on the blu-ray. It's now what I can only describe as a dull and murky dark green-esque colour.

    http://voltarchive.animation-web.com.../motu14-bd.jpg

In the above comparison, the blacks are too dark on the blu-ray, causing some details on Skeletor and his costume to be less visible.

    http://voltarchive.animation-web.com...motu18-dvd.jpg
    http://voltarchive.animation-web.com.../motu18-bd.jpg

In the above comparison, the contrast is way too high on the blu-ray. A real big screw-up here.

    http://voltarchive.animation-web.com...motu16-dvd.jpg
    http://voltarchive.animation-web.com.../motu16-bd.jpg

In the above comparison, the glow at the top of He-Man's sword and the streaks of light coming from it are completely washed out on the blu-ray.

I don't think I need to explain this one. A prime example of incorrect colour timing on the blu-ray.

Coupled with the lack of new extras, the blu-ray is overall a disappointment.

It's not just the green that's off, it's pretty much every colour.
