That's exactly what I've been saying the whole time. It just doesn't make sense that Prime would wear Hordak's face - though that's what it looks like, doesn't it?I totally agree! besides the horde emblem is still more an Hordak face with bat wings, so after all is not Horde Prime face
Although the secret head looks very nice so far, I'll display mine with the helmet on, just to deal with that emblem-face thingie...

Hmmm...if the final face looks good, I'll consider him buying on the secondary market. I'll wait and see first pictures.
I wouldn't place him between my vintage Horde guys, he would go in my exotic corner.

If you do an ebay search, you can see better pictures of the Horde Prime prototype! I've really warmed up to this guy- he looks great even in unpainted form!
This may have been mentioned before so I apologize if it has: I know in the early shots you could see the face was painted red. Was this just to help hide it better behind the mask and the final release will be the same color as Hordak's face? I hope so!

I would seem either Scott or Mattel wants this Horde Prime face thing still kept secret because someone posted in the ask matty forum asking Scott now that the images of Horde Primes secret face have been leaked all over the Internet does Mattel still plan to remove the Horde Prime head from all review samples?
The test shot prototype images we have in this thread were also included in that ask Matty posting, BUT Now that posting doesn't seem to exist anymore on the ask matty forum suggesting either Scott Or Mattel had that posting yanked from ask matty so no one there would see the pictures.
I'm going to guess they removed it because it's an "illegal" test shot.
Personally, I would like to see the final painted face BEFORE I buy a figure...
Until I don't see it, I won't buy it, so I guess I have to buy him loose on secondary market...

Scott has said since they showed Horde Prime that they want to keep whats under the helmet a secret till fans open it in person. I think this is a mistake, The Idea is to sell the figure and by removing the main head from review samples spoils Mattels chances of selling a lot of Horde Primes on sale day.
The head they should have kept secret was the UK head like they did with the extra Megator & Man-E-Faces extra heads. Not everyone wants to display the UK head on their Horde Prime so Scott & mattel handled this poorly from the day of Horde Primes reveal. How can any reviewer jazz up the fan base for sale day when mattel won't include the main head of the figure the reviewer is showing just so that Mattel can have their have a secret surprise.
Just realised that you can remove the head but leave the cowl thing on, so you can have the UK head but with a Hordak style cowl, giving lots of head display options, pretty cool.
How do we know that the face they wear is either of theirs?
After all, if they're brothers, they didn't just pop out of thin air.
