No, I was just going off what was announced. But it seems like you know more than I do, because I had no idea the book called him "Vykon". Just saw your post on the other thread.

I'm not paying him out for saying the wrong thing, just pointing out (as others have already) that he seemed really nervous!
LOL, and he says that the SDCC version is the military version. I appreciate the effort to make the video, but the final result is a little underwhelming.

Poor Scott – he did not see this coming. This whole drama has made me like him more though because I can tell that he really did this for the fans.

But unfortunately, it has also highlighted that he has blinders on. Not only has he invested a lot on energy on an exclusive that was never in high demand, but does he not realize that it’s counterproductive to make the packaging so big. We are all constantly talking about how so many of us are running out of room and he creates an exclusive that is so unnecessarily big that it will deter people from buying all of the versions.

Still lookin' forward to this; Tank Top the most. I am interested to see what the bio will be about, but I've already decided: totally making this three separate characters no matter what! I'm pretty sure I'll use my extra Faker for Tank Top, and the space guy can go to my extra Mo-Larr. Now...the problem is that helmet. His head looks pretty small! I'm hoping it's not smaller than a He-Man head if I take the hair off. If so, I may figure out a way to cut down Mo-Larr's head to fit. In fact, I hope that works! I can just imagine his grinning face peering out of that helmet...

I was highly disappointed about the whole Stinkor mess but that aside, I appreciate the video made by Scott showing us all the SDCC excluisve, Vykron. I do like this figure even though certain aspects of it I find lacking and not perfectly executed. I'll gladly grab one set and use the spare parts on other bucks to create a trio of warriors (for my collection/cannon). I prefer this set to be the exclusive (would have preferred it in another year) over it being another Star Sister sub spot - which I've grown to like when I had to fight DR to get them finally shipped in early March
I will accept Vykron, Skykron, and Tankron come July.

And I have to say I think almost everyone is being very cool in this topic, even the guys that do not like or want this figure.

My idea of a Holy Grail item is one that is rare and virtually impossible to obtain.

Laser Power He-Man is a perfect example from the vintage line.

With all the fallout over Stinkor's forearms and the negative response to the SDCC reveal, he must be thinking "Job on the line, job on the line!".

Can we make "talking Vykron" into a phrase?

    "Why'd you eat my Oreos?"

    "Uh, I didn't."

"Quit talkin' Vykron, fool! You got them all over your lips."

I'm still torn on this... I love the enthusiasm Scott has for the line, and it shows every time you see him in an interview, but I still don't know if I'm going to get, one, none, or several.

If I was the mother of a seven-year old, I'd think this was the greatest thing ever - I could spend $30 and get my son a figure he could play with three different ways. But the line isn't meant for seven-year old kids, it's made for collectors. And as a collector, I one of my pet peeves is paying for extra accessories laying around that I can't do anything with. So If I want to get this, I probably need to get 3 and have 6(!) extra outfits, not even counting the MOC buying options. So that said, I think collectors would have preferred 3 individually packed figures at $22 each or a 3 pack at $66, and I think it was a deliberate cost play on Matty's part to get the extra $24 margin on people who wanted to display all three ways. And Scott can play up the interchangeably feature as much as he wants, but I'll bet all the money in my wallet against all the money in his wallet that he's got all three figures in his personal display - not one that he dresses up based on his mood of the day...

As far as the the figure itself is concerned, I love the idea of making concept figures, and I think they're great as SDCC or subscription exclusives. I loved Demo-Man and I like Vikor. I even liked the Mo-Larr / Skeletor pack! Demo-Man and Vikor looked cool though, and the Mo-Larr pack was fun with the toothless Skeletor. These figures just look meh though. (No comment on Mighty Mighty Spector and Laserbrain)

If I buy any, I think I'll just get one and maybe get extra ones if they put them on sale in November.

HAHAHA! My thoughts exactly! Then again, the first time I talked to him at the Comic Con he had that same look on his face. Maybe 'cause I'm 6 foot 5!!!

He really tries to sell the exclusives, I'll grant him that. I'm just saddened that Mattel has such an underwhelming list of items this year. Wonder why and hope it's not a budget issue. The Dana figure from Ghostbusters is an unarticulated statue. So is 'Death'. Even the Polly Pockets seem to be frozen in immovable poses.

I REALLY believe that these figures would have gotten A LOT OF LOVE or at least, a lot less hatred, had there been an additional, more mainstream exclusive. Like the year Mo-Laar came out, there was a tidalwave of criticism that was then tampered by the fact that we were getting another exclusive (was it Orko? can't remember lol).

Just like Sorceress we are not getting back shots on this figure. One obviously has to wonder why that is the case. What is Mattel hiding from us this time?

The Power & Honor book talk about Mark taylor's drawing we know as Vikor. But Mr. Sweet referred to him as Vykon. So Vikor=Vykon so I was wondering why Vykron wasn't named Vykon instead. 4th post down Vykon

I'll try to buy 3 and in the end I think it will be pretty hard doing it cause I can see a lot of prople changing their mind and buying multiples like I want. Hopefully I'll be one of the lucky ones who'll be able to have all 3 versions
