Stuck with Spector?

The other day I tried cancelling my 30th sub. The phone rep told me that it was not possible, but that I could refuse any package and that I'd be refunded for the figures inside. With both subscriptions, all of the figures come in one box, correct? So it wouldn't make sense to return Slush Head, Stinkor, and the Snake Mountain stands just to return Spector right? Hmmm, well almost worth it.

I don't suppose we could take out the figures we do want before we refuse the box?

You'll also miss out on getting back the cost of postage from what other people have been saying (why did you order a sub anyway, it was revealed that TMS was part of it)

It's true, you don't get refunded the shipping costs. Also, the Snake Mountain stands are not part of the sub. You have to buy them on May 15th if you want them.

Not to target you especially as there been other posts too, but wasn't Mattel pretty clear about orders being final and they would not accept cancellations?

eBay any figures you don't want. They let post 50 items a month free. Although you do have to pay a fee if it does sell. If you don't want to deal with that just sell it on the forum. Good luck.

yes but people think they can change the rules, or people cancel their credit cards, which just seems a bit far for me lol

Shoot, even some of Spector's detractors might want one for customs...or to burn as an effigy. I'll be happy to get him though!

This is exactly right. Everyone knew going in that they were buying a sub and would not know everything in it. It is the risk you take. Cancelling a sub simply because you don't like characters is dishonest. Repeated quality control problems and shipping issues, however, would be a different matter. I haven't had any, but I can understand the frustration of those who have.

That reminds me... if anyone want to buy MY Spector, look for my post in the classifieds.

Sadly, I don't think this figure will make cost in the sale on eBay. I'll probably be selling him at a loss.

How many more 30th Annie figures are left? The Knight guy, the Create a Character Contest one... any others?

wouldn't the 30th sub and the motuc sub have different order numbers - and isn't that where you change the CC info? it seems like you could just change the CC info for 1 of them and the other would be unaffected.

Once I have him in hand, I'll decide if he fits in my collection or not. If not, I'll offer him for cost here on the Org.

The Spector flaming is so old. Do we really need another thread about it? Just trade it at your local toy shop or sell it on eBay. I've traded several figures I don't want at All Time Toys in Baltimore and sold lots more on eBay.

Why even get the sub if ur not open minded enough for the new figs?

I've decided to wait until the people who aren't wanting him to buy him off a .org member (I feel that way it helps 2 people instead of 1 person and matty). I didn't get the sub and want him (and I'm pretty sure there are others like me), so you shouldn't have much trouble selling him. Ofcourse, he may come in and you actually like him! There's always hope.

It's the completist thing again with me. To be honest, i didn't think much of MS at all when revealed but now slowing coming around. Like some, i'll wait till he arrives to and see what happens. I learnt long ago (for myself) not to judge before actually getting the figure in hand.

I don't have to get that thing in my hands to know I don't ever want it, there is nothing there for me to even use for parts swapping. This is why I'll never sub up, ever....I don't want to waste my time selling every other figure and paying ebay fees on top of paypal fees, selling on here can take forever especially if it's a least liked figure like him....

I wait for the video reviews to make a final decision, and I know with Spector, I don't even have to wait for that. the review for Draego Man, made me come down off the fence, even though I wanted him in the first place, but it will not happen for Spector. I don't like it, it looks like he belongs with Xavier not Adam, therefore I can pass without caring. I'm not wasting $30 to see IF I like a figure, never going to happen, the reviews work just fine for me. Spector was never in MOTUC, he doesn't look cool at all to me unlike Draego, therefore, he's not for my collection.

I buy what I want, and if I can't get it from Matty, I can get it somewhere else....buying from Ebay is easier than selling on it.

I was going to do that, but after reading all the negative, sarcastic, and rude comments from people who don't like him, I've decided to get him off Matty and show my support through a direct sale.
