I'm fine with them using a monthly slot for them.

What "i" hope happens in the sub... is Fewer items, but BETTER items... If they completley cut out 3 beasts and Two Varient figures... That would be at least $130 that the fans would save... Maybe $60 if they cut out a 3-pack.... Then they could put a Castle Grayskull or a kick butt Vehicle into the sub, and the fans would spend as much as they are now... and mattel would have guaranteed sales for their vehicles...

    win win.

I would really like to get one 'ride' per year... That's all I want for a 'oversized' thing... I don't need shadowbeasts and gygor... I'd rather have a Stridor or sky sled.. And I dont' need 4 a year...

SOME of these characters we get... Don't seem to be 'because they're cool'... or 'becasue fans want them'... but just seem a blatant cash grab of reused parts... no longer a who SHOULD we make.. but a who CAN we make...
Well, they already told us AGAIN that a possible vehicle won't be in the sub (read the current q&a round). And I don't expect them to reduce the number of slots. But I think they will shuffle them around a little bit, making a 2pack instead of a monthly and a quarterly figure or something like this.

It make sense a classicized Kulatak would be a standard sized figure, come on Kulatak Elder!

I would like Mattel to make a 2-pack in a monthly slot. It would break up the 1 figure per month routine.

Personally, besides of Panthor & Battle Cat, I don't care for other beasts. I'd rather have some cool themed 2-packs, because the regular figures get my main attention.

I thought we were for sure going to see it at SDCC considering the 4H were working on it a while ago.

Yeah they announced a month or two back that the 4H had begun work on the CAC and it would be revealed at SDCC.

As it is coming this year it's obvious that we will see it, since they show figures until march 2013 at SDCC...

I may be mistaken, but I thought I read the fan-created character was going to be released at the end of 2013.

I believe you are thinking of the Fan Choice figure for next year. The CAC figure is the final release in the 30th Ann line.

I kinda thought this was always going to be the case- the 6th and final figure in this 30th Anniversary series would probably have to be slotted into either Nov or Dec this year to be part of the 30th Anniversary sub-line subscription and SDCC always bring us reveals that go up through March of the following year.

Ah, you are right! Got them mixed up for a moment there. Wouldn't it be something if a test shot of the CAC figure showed up on eBay before SDCC.

reading all of the Q&As from this round, it seems like someone else has taken over writing them (though that's just a big guess based on the style of the answers)

I would be more than fine of the kalacktus were standard size, as most of the oversized guys in 200x have been toned down, like clawful, whiplash, (king grayskull was oversized? Or did i misread that q&a) and if i remember correctly a ton of buzz offs people were pretty damn tall too. So again, smaller for them as well as dactus will be ok with me, taller might just look odd anyway as they arent "beasts" like gygor or shadowbeast but kind of humanoid anyway, idk. To me it works fine anyway.

Also i kind of hope they lower the amount of beasts and variants mext year, so much product is comin out this year that with an increase in price i might have to be more selective (not sayin id be a cherry picker but any doubles would surely stop, including troop builders). Mattel does need to realize we also have to pay shipping fees and while thats no part of "their" budget or pricing, it IS part of ours, since there really are no stores we can buy these from. For ups standard (cause usps via dr has *** me too many times) + tax with a sub figure, i spent $38 on kobra khan, and while mothns when items shop together become "cheaper" for me, its still an extra cost that must be factored in.
Besides, theres only a few beasts i personally want anyway, they could easily slow them down.

Chances are probably slim, since the test shots seem to show up no earlier than a month-and-a-half or so before their release date...and since this fan-created character is coming at the end of the year...

Here's hoping to get spoiled before SDCC, though.

I think NA Skeletor would have to be a regular figure, anyway. I can't see any way of doing him without using more new tooling than a quarterly figure would be allowed...

Why do you want it to be spoiled? That doesn't seem like any fun!

You guys are grown men! Stop trying to search the closets for your presents early.

If the item is revealed early, that could lead to a whole bunch of legal issues... If the "winner" realized he/she won and admitted it was their design, that could breach the contest contract... Did anyone even read all the fine print? Who knows what those consequences could be.

Besides, it would be WAY more exciting if Mattel announced five designs at SDCC and then slowly revealed who the winner was throughout the presentation (or day even)... Much much PR buzz that way!

Well seeing as it is likely MY character that is going to win the contest...I will give you all a sneak peak-

He is a regular MOTUC male buck, with the head of a horse..
....and each of his hands has a sheep's head on it...
...and he has the duck feet aswell...

    His name is-

    MAN -AT-FARMS!!!

and he also comes with his little Trollan guide...who has a pig's snout...called...

    PORKO...

You can even ask BCRDUKE, and he will confirm from his spoiler-spies that this is 1000000000% true, and this will be the 6th Anniversary figure and contest winner!*

    *may not really be true!

The rules also state that the winner will be notified on or about July 1st and then the figure will be revealed at SDCC.

That is what the rules said, but ToyGuru has since clarified that the winner won't find out until the reveal at SDCC, along with everyone else.
