Vykron's Bio revealed! *Spoilers*

Courtesy of AFI we have our first look at Vykron's bio. I have to say, given how much I hate the execution of the figure, I enjoyed his 'execution' in the bio, LOL!

Vyrkon - Ultimate Eternian Champion
Real Name: Vyrkon

Fifty years before Prince Adam was born, Vyrkon the Warrior fought in the gladitorial arena of Lord Choloh, ruler of the Vine Jungle. Learning from each defeated opponent, he became a master of many combat techniques and weapons. As much a chapion as a showman, he would often dress in outlandish garb to rouse the crowd and show off his skills. In his final match, he fought against the great Gygor. Before a cheering crowd, the evil fighting gorilla ripped Vykron's body in half, at long last defeating the arena champion. Following this match, Gygor claimed not only the arena championship but rule of the Jungle itself, forcing Choloh to abdicate his throne. In life, Vykron was the greatest of Choloh's gladitorial warriors, fighting in any environment at any time.

Best way to do this guy IMO. He's not been forced into the main story.

IF this is indeed the real bio, I will most definitely buy this figure. I must say, much like you Telkan2, I didn't like this figure one bit - but given this bio: alright! And now I love my Gygor even more!

Edit: the bio kinda draws your attention away from his description 'Ultimate Eternian Champion'... Ultimate?

Choloh was referenced in a DC Comic, btw.

Great catch, Tally! I kept trying to remember where in the mythos I had heard the name Choloh before, but couldn't quite place it.

I like it!

It adds to the greater MOTUC story without forcing itself in some odd fitting way or pushing the main plot in some weird new direction. Plus we have the opportunity to get a Lord Choloh figure now!

Additionally, I now know who else has been watching Spartacus on Starz!

So when are we going to start having UEC matchups taking place?!

Edit: Does this mean that Vykron disassembles at the waist like King Hssss?! He should so he can be displayed with Gygor!

I think Vykron's demise would have been before Evil-Lyn's plot to release Gygor.

Great example of how a good bio can salvage a figure: now his silly costumes make sense, and he seems fun and cool. GREAT bio!

EDIT: so "Choloh" was mentioned in the old DC HE-Man/Superman crossover comic...apparently Beast-Man exclaims "By Choloh's beard!" at some point!

I like it too, that it is not part of the main storyline, and that it didn't tie the look of Vykron's harness to He-man's. Vykron was just a good fighter - not a clone, not a He-man, not a time traveler.

What most interests me is the violence in this bio. I'm not saying it does, but I wonder if it says anything about the level of violence we could see in the DC comic. Is it a sign of things to come? I know, no one can answer that here, but it's fun to ask the question.

Great bio. Doesnt mix with main timeline too much. Uses another concept figure gygor

I agree--I'm glad they didn't try to shoe-horn him into being a main character. That being said, I also wonder if the similarity between the He-Man harness and Vykron's isn't an homage to Oolar or another past He-Man (i.e., maybe a past He-Man fought Vykron in Choloh's arena at some point in the past, and bested him).

Wow, interesting bio! I was kinda hoping he'd be the leader of the Fighting Foe Men, but I think I like this one better. I'll still be using the other costumes are separate characters, but I may use this for the barbarian costume. Kinda neat that he gets such a hardcore end.
