It looks like Skeletor has some dragon power thing going on for himself too (not just a pet dragon)! he gets the scaly forearms and boots when he calls upon the dragon blaster powers...

Thats a good idea, I was thinking the same.
On the other hand this figure now allows people to have an accurate vintage Skeletor by just swopping the armour

Pretty sweet! I'm glad you are getting one of your favorite figures. He is my favorite Skeletor. I just wish the head was better.

Great that much like She Ra 2.0 this gives us a new skeletor buck to play with. I may just put the buck with that Demo Man head, and give the TRU Skeletor Body I had the Demo Man Head too with this armour set.

I dont know, It's cool to have choices.

Looks good, it's good. I'm not overly excited, but yeah, I like it. But then technically I like all the vintage stuff.

Looked like the toy, but more realistic and less cartoony. Now we have this one,

that is more cartoony and doesn't look like the toy. This one also looks better,

and they both still look like the toy.

But the real reason it looks goofy, is because it does look unrealistic. Not because it is a dragon, but because there is no way the dragon could open or close his mouth with all of those teeth, especially the ones in the back, as they are too close together, and the ones in the back are the worst part of the problem,as eluded to by this post..

Great post darkmoon766, just look at all those great vintage Dragon Blaster images they could of drawn from for inspiration. I really don't understand why they went in such a different direction with the giant animated looking chompers. Everything else looks fantastic, and I'm still excited to be adding him to my collection; I just wish the 4H had been a little more inspired by the original art on this one.

I loved Dragon Blaster Skeletor as a kid and always imagined his pet Dragon being released to attack He-Man in the middle of battle. I suppose I just had such a clear image in my mind of his classic inspired head being re-imagined in MOTUC that this choice is a little disappointing to me. I wonder if there is any chance that we could receive a second "cardback" head as a pack in with a latter figure, as with Keldors swords. It's still a MOTUC Dragon Blaster Skeletor so I'll love him either way but here's hoping!

Yet again as a subscriber no reveal email for me. It's not a huge deal as you can pretty much see it on the org straight away however it is a bit annoying that Matty can't even send a simple email to every subscriber!

In terms of the figure I think he looks great and I like the fact that they've changed Skeletor up a bit in terms of the boots/forearms.

Arr DB Skeletor, the only variant I had as a kid. I would have prefered an NA Skeletor but am still happy with him. At first I didn't like the dragons teeth, but its grown on me a little already though I still would have preferred a head closer to the mini-comic or card back.

Also I think it would have helped a lot if at least Gnasher's back teeth would have been a bit smaller. It would have added a bit of the v-shape:

Wow that little change makes it look soooo much better IMO.

I wonder if the 4H sculpted the mouth closed so the sharpness of the teeth would not be compromised. An open mouth might have resulted in the chiclet-teeth that King Hiss had.

What might be a nice concept for kids just doesn't appeal to me now... The whole package looks rather comical. Definate pass, so that means they'll stick another mini-comic in to make me buy it...

I think the changes to skeletor is because he catches the techno virus in the past. This will explain his na look also.
